Strengths: Turntable is easy to use. Much sturdier than I expected. Quality product for the price.
Weakness: Pyro 5 Software can be difficult to use at times.
I am very pleased with my product to date. The only small problem I've encountered is in the somewhat difficult software that comes with it, but then again I'm no computer wizard so I expected some difficulites. I will not let that stand in the way of giving this a very high rating. I can honestly say that I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to convert a vinyl collection to CD, or...
Strengths: It is well made.
Weakness: Instructions
Being a newbie, I had problems with the instructions. But, I muddled through and it WORKS fine. I would definitely recommend this product to other people who would like to record their LPs onto disk. Great product.
Strengths: Easy to set-up and use. Comes with 2 different audio editing software programs, 1 for PCs and 1 for MAC computers, that will also work on PCs.
Weakness: Little documentation for the supplied software.
Being somewhat of a technical person, I had almost no trouble setting up my turntable, and getting sound to work and be recorded. There are 2 different software programs included with the turntable. They were Pyro Audio Creator LE by Cakeworks for PCs, and Audacity which is licensed under the General Public License which means it's publicly accessible and is modified by the general public, so...
Strengths: Installing the software and putting together the turntable was way easy.
Weakness: I can't figure out how to convert to MP3.
I was able to hook up the turntable without a problem. There was not enough instructions on how to convert the music to MP3s. I opened Audacity and played the album. Can't figure out how to turn the recorded songs into MP3's. The Audacity software says it doesn't convert the songs, it needs another library which I don't have. I've written to Audio-Techinca but haven't heard anything back yet.

easy as advertised
Strengths: the manual was well written and was easy to understand for a newbie
Weakness: software packages for recording and editing requires a degree in audio engineering
the hardware plays better the some turntables i have had in the past. all the connecting cables were more than i needed. the software packages, cakewalk (pyro audio creator le) and audacity were way too complicated for this newbie. i went to "spin it again" by chance. it's very simple to do the job i wanted. a 50 yr old lp (damaged) cleaned up nicely. delivery took a little longer than i expected.
