The EF-500 is a high-value, compact floor-standing speaker that carefully balances engineering and style. Instead of a single, larger diameter woofer, the EF-500 uses two, smaller woofers to create a similar large movement of air for deep bass in a more compact, less width cabinet.The 1 in. soft-dome tweeter reproduces smooth high frequencies, while the waveguide that surrounds it helps to control the tweeters dispersion. The high frequencies are aimed directly at the main listening position for a more open and lifelike listening experience.A front firing port allows flexible room placement. The optimized bass reflex design creates deep bass using both the air movement in front of the dual woofers and a front-firing port to reinforce that bass with air movement behind the drivers. Unlike rear-firing port designs, the EF-500s can be tucked-away in a corner if desired.The stylish black ash cabinet is designed to fit into any decor.
