Description
The best of both worlds. If you receive your TV programming over the air on an antenna from a full-power station and do not have a TV with a built-in ATSC digital tuner, you are going to need a digital converter box in order to continue receiving programming.

Strengths: Very easy to setup; excellent picture quality; analog pass thru feature.
Weakness: None so far
How cool is this!! We have a old Zenith 15" color tv inherited from my parents. OMG!!...The picture has never been better and we are still using the old antenna. Setup was too easy, once I figured out the setup screen was on the AUX channel. READ THE GUIDE!! It gives very simple and easy to understand instructions. Previous reviews show that the persons did not read everything and go through...
Strengths: Very easy to setup; excellent picture quality; analog pass thru feature.
Weakness: None.
Purchased the Zenith DTT901 at Circuit City with the government coupon so the net cost was $19.99. Installed it the same day and was amazed at the number of channels available and the clarity of the picture. Setup was extremely straightforward. All the necessary cables were included in the box. Unplug the coax cable to TV; plug it into the converter; connect the supplied coax from the converter...
Strengths: Good quality, good signal
Weakness: More electronic clutter
I purchased this after finding out it's essentially the same as the top regarded Insignia box. (They're just branded differently.) Haven't had reason to use it a ton, but am pleased by the digital signal and improved reception over rabbit ears. Could certainly do without having yet another electronic gadget lying around for clutter, but this is definitely the better way to go unless someone wants...
Strengths: Pass-thru, reasonable signal pickup, easy to use
Weakness: perhaps sound quality
Overall this is a fairly good unit. Signal pickup seems reasonable and it has NTSC (analog) pass through when the unit is off. There is a signal strength indicator that can be useful in improving your signal reception (by manually adjusting your antenna). If you have recently tuned into a channel, you'll get the next hour of scheduling for that channel regardless of what channel your currently...
Strengths: simple to use
Weakness: none
Works perfectly. It was easy to set up and connect. The on-screen controls were easy to use. Signal sensitivity is excellent.Easy to recommend to others.
Strengths: No more snowy channels. Signal Strength monitor helps you direct your antenna for the best signal. Easy setup, but got to read and understand directions! More channels than I ever had. (9 vs 2)
Weakness: May have to re-read directions to fully understand... If you have a poor signal (not likely) the picture breks up like a dirty CD... But adjust your antenna while you have the signal strength meter sho
I'm getting more channels than I ever had. (9 vs 1.5) I had one decent slightly snowy channel and one very snowy channel in New Hampshire. They were Maine analog stations. Our viewing options were limited. Now we get 9 channels and no snow. A must have!
Strengths: Easy to install, easy to use, has a zoom button to fill the screen
Weakness: No DVI connection, no way to delete channels it finds that you don't want. Seems to shut itself off after a period of time.
Very easy to install. The instructions were concise and easy to follow. Not a lot of help on the controls of the remote, but with some playing found out what most do. But so far have not found out how to delete the channels that it finds that I don't want...like the religion and spanish speaking channels. Of all the channels it found, only 1 came in wavy with the sound distorted. The clarity of...

Decent Digital tuner
Strengths: easy to use s-video output signal strength meter
Weakness: not a universal remote
I've had this for about 3 weeks, and am enjoying watching both the extra digital channels available. I live in a semi-rural area, and the signal strength is good, even with a cheap loop type uhf antenna attached. I will probably get a smart antenna at some point, but it does not seem essential.
