Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Greatly improves signal strength.

Weakness: Mainly helpful if cable problems are result of weak signal.

I just installed the unit and it has made a noticable impact on my TV reception. Stations that were snowy from over-splitting are now much cleaner. Downstream strength on the cable modem was greatly increased (upstream unchanged) though I already was getting decent transfer rates so this had no impact.

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Little box greatly improved internet cable connectivity and performance.

I had a problem maintaining internet cable connectivity. I had a pretty long run of cable with two splits inbetween. This product boosted the signal so that I finally had a reliable connection and faster web surfing. Excellent product for the money. I am going to buy another for my cable tv since I have 6 televisions in the house and numerous splits.

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Ease of installation and improved picture quality.

Weakness: No significant impact on broadband bandwidth.

Started to have picture quality problems because of the number of splitters throughout the house. Also had intermittent drops with broadband service. It resolved both issues, including a significant improvement in picture quality, but did not improve broadband bandwidth.

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Good build quality

Weakness: expensive

I bad snowy pictures on some channels (70 ~ 80) from my analog cable. After intalling the motorola signal booster, it's much better. Still not perfect, but definitely better. I also tried a $31 radioshak booster, it works too, but not as well as this motorola one. I also tried it on my Silver Sensor antena, hoping to boost my over-the-air HDTV reception. But it doesn't work. I live in downtown...

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Easy to install.

Weakness: Too short of a cord to the electrical outlet.

Installed easily and some channels are remarkably cleaner and clearer. But some channels seem to have an interference in them that wasn't there before. May be garbage in garbage out. The interference could have always been there but now it's amplified.

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Easy to install. Improves cable picture quality immensely.

Weakness: Expensive unless bought over the Internet.

Back in September when we had the cable company come out to install our cable modem for high speed Internet, they added a 3 way splitter outside to accommodate the digital/analog line coming in to our family room, the digital/analog line coming in to our bedroom after about a 50 foot run of cable, and the new cable modem line. The fast Internet has been fantastic, but the analog signal on...

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Extremely easy to install.

Weakness: As far as I could tell, you would need to buy and install multiple boosters to service other equipment in your house. If that's not the case, the instructions were not clear on how to accomplish.

My TV was receiving extremely bad reception- probably due to the extensive cable that runs throughout my house (it's a 4,000 sq foot house) the TV that was getting terrible reception was at the far opposite side of my cable source. Once the booster was installed it did fix this problem, so I highly recommend this product!

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: Well made. Easy to install and use.

Weakness: One of the coax cables broke when I attached it to the booster. Fortunately I had extras.

This unit was purchased to replace an existing booster from Radio Shack. The RS unit was an older unit that had one input and four outputs. The signal strength seemed to be ok so I felt satisfied with the results. After changing from DSL to cable modem, I decided to get a amplifier/booster that would be compatible with cable modem service. After installing the booster the cable modem showed no...

Motorola Signal Booster

Strengths: easy installation, good signal increase

Weakness: supplied cables for connections are not high quality

The Motorola Signal Booster substantially increased the signal supplied by my cable company allowing for much clearer picture definition on my plasma TV and an older TV. Be sure to install the Booster at the point of entry in your home or apartment. In my case it did interfere with the internet cable, and it will not actually boost the cable internet signal. I solved this problem by using a good...
