Strengths: Truly Muti-Function, Learn Function, Buttons for Controlling DVR's, Bright LCD, Programmable macro's
Weakness: Large, Not Upgradeable, Awkward to use the buttons at the bottom because unit is so large
Overall its a handy thing to have. Seen friends spend a lot more on universal remotes and they are not only harder to use but seems as though they don't do as much. I like the macros because with the push of one button it changes the tv's video output as well as the audios and turns on the 360. I also like the sleep function where you tell it how long to wait and then it shuts down the devices...
Strengths: Great learning remote for under $100 It comes pre-programmed with tons of devices, it can also learn individual commands from other remotes. One of the easy remotes to setup that I have ever owned.
Weakness: None
The capabilities are pretty much endless and initial set up is very fast. First of all, when you turn the remote on for the first time, it asks you what type of device do you want to set up, for example, TV. Then it asks you what brand. The top 8-10 TV brands pop up on the first page and if your TV is not there, then you can just scroll forward alphabetically until you find your brand. Then you...
Strengths: customizable, easy to use, color screen
Weakness: has usb interface with support to use it
This is a nice remote for the money. I own 3! (X-10 Icon is the same remote) I wish someone would use the UBS to write custom stuff and upgrade the codes.
THE GOOD: Controls 10 devices; easy, wizard-based programming plus ability to learn from other remotes; large, superbright screen with 10 contextual hard buttons; as many as 10 customized channel guides with familiar network logos; plenty of buttons, including DVR specific keys. THE BAD: Placement of video transport keys should be higher; advanced users will lament the absence of task-based...

Adequate remote lacking features
Strengths: easy to read good buttons cheap
Weakness: macros not good learning is cumbersome so-so database
the remote didn't have my Element TV (turns out by googling I found that Proview works ok). Also, the macro function ONLY works by learning the steps from the original remote and saving them -- and then, for me, it didn't even work. Learning a keystroke is quite cumbersome. Basically, if you happen to have a setup where it knows your devices and if you don't need macros, this is an OK remote....
