Weakness: None
I was looking at the cheaper Olympus model, which records in 4-bit wav format, and transfers to the PC via a cable. Since I plan to edit and potentially burn CDs of recorded files, I decided to go with this unit. It has a much higher sampling rate than the other unit, and thus can produce higher fidelity recordings (I may use it to record some music as well as just lectures). It looks to have a...
Strengths: Easy to use. Plug n Play.
Weakness: A little pricely.
Connect straight to your computer and extract files without the need of any cables or adding any new software on the hardrive. great for recording lectures or, with the use of a cable connection to the in line, to record music via cd player, radio, or any digital musical instrument.
Strengths: Stylish, very compact and 512 MB of space and above all the microphone and speaker.
Weakness: Picks up noise even if you have the filter turned on.

Strengths: Slim and lightweight. Compatible with both Mac and PC.

Especially like that it is compatible with both Mac and PC. Contains sufficient storage. Easy to transfer to the computer. The static is less obvious when listening from the computer. Even from the recorder...

Great recording quality and convenient digital voice...
Strengths: Excellent sound and good design
Weakness: None
I owned a sony icdsx46 with 128mb memory, which was not enough for my college class lecture recording. I bought this due to its excellent reviews on the web and it certainly lives up to my expectation. The sound quality is clear and sometimes I do not have to use the earphone. It is much better than the old one which I could not hear the recordings without the easphone. It is easy to use and move...
