Cobra XS 9330 Radar Detector
Strengths: Excellent detection range. Easy to read alphanumeric symbols.
Very user friendly and the detection range is extremely good (over 2 miles). The big alphanumeric symbols are easy to read even in bright sunlight.
If used within city driving, expect the normal false X-band and some K-band.

Great value for a 12-band radar/laser detector
Strengths: 1) Large, bright LED display with signal strength indicator 2) Detects Ku band, VG-2, 4 laser bands 3) IntelliMute™ feature automatically mutes the detector based on speed 4) Stylish design
Weakness: 1) Detection range is shorter than Whistler / Escort / BEL

I bought this XRS-9330 detector a few weeks ago for my travel use as I travel to Europe and all around the States quite a bit.
During my recent trip to Europe this detector saved me from a police trap in Paris and London. The Ku band (most used in Europe) detection worked well. Yesterday, back in the US, I was driving around town and this went off alerting me that a cop was sitting in a parking lot watching the road with his VG-2 on. I also like the IntelliMute™ feature that automatically mutes the detector based on your speed so that I don't have to hit the Mute button while driving. Other useful features include 4-band 360 degree laser detection, VG-2 immunity, large LED display that shows signal strength in bars and is easy to read even in bright daylight, and convenient volume control/off dial, etc.
Now, if used off the highway, you should expect the normal false detection of X-band (automatic doors) and some K-bands which I believe is a common problem in other brand detectors. Other negatives, compared to my experience with other brands like Escort and BEL-tronics is that the Ka/K band range definitely is shorter (2 miles on others). Compared to other lower-end Cobra's like the ESD series, however, this one does offer longer range with their new Xtreme Range Superheterodyne™ technology.
Overall, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of this product for the $69 I paid. Why pay >$200 for a similar 12-band detector when all you need is a little more reflex to react to cop radars? I definitely recommend this detector for roadwarriors like me!

I highly recommend it!
Strengths: It so quick to detect any radar.
Weakness: I don't see any weaknesses
This is the third time for me to buy this kind of radar detector. The cobra radar detectors are products with high quality. This time, I am buy two of them to give them as gifts to two of my family.

not bad for 60 bucks
Strengths: looks really nice, few false alarms
Weakness: could have a better range
overall the radar detector has treated me pretty well. it mounts nicely on the windshield and looks rather attractive. the range is decent, it could give you a little more warning though. for 60 dollars it is a pretty good buy considering it will save you at least a 100 dollars everytime it saves you.

You get what you pay for!
Strengths: It doesn't detect false signals so it's very quiet
Weakness: It only detects when the radar is extremely close. In other words, the short range on it doesn't give you anytime to react or slow down because the cop is already in front of you when it goes off.
I returned this radar detector and hopefully I'll get a full refund.
