Description
The W500 features an iris-like lens design that mimics our own eye, adjusting the aperture after analyzing the incoming video signal. The aperture is contracted during dark scenes for truer black tones and enhanced detail, while it is enlarged for bright scenes to maximize light output and enable a wider dynamic range. No matter what type of content is on, the W500 ensures that you get the very best viewing experience.

Strengths: Flexible, inexpensive, easy to operate.
Weakness: My 'universal' ceiling mount couldn't handle this projector.
This is my second projector. I started with a Viewsonic PJ503D which cost me half as much. It was a great starter projector, but its native resolution was 4:3, resolution was 600 x 800, and there was no lens adjustment or zoom so placement was critical. I am sending it to my apartment in Guatemala. The BenQ W500 arrived last week. Other than not being able to use my 'universal' ceiling mount it...
Strengths: great performance, and reasonable price
Weakness: I like small one...

The Epson Home Cinema 720 is a killer projector. It gives solid performance in all areas with extra emphasis on rock-solid contrast and black levels. With the exception of limited connectivity and a bit less than ideal vertical lens shift range, it has no major flaws. Meanwhile, the picture quality is outstanding for the money. The Cinema 720 is an exceptional value at $1299, and it was an easy...

Great Projector!
Strengths: HQV Processing Great Placement Flexibility Decent Price Superb Value
Weakness: None that I've found
This is a great budget projector that has some of the best video processing at any price point. It uses the Silicon Optix ReonVX video processor found in very expensive systems and it does a fantastic job of upscaling and de-interlacing Standard Definition (SD) sources. It's not necessary to have a costly upconversion DVD player as this projector does a better job at it. SD truly looks close to...
