Weakness: PC display is not quite as good as LCD.
I had 42' LCD TV but I wanted something bigger with 1080P. I think this is the optimal investment for big HDTV with 1080 resolution. Especially, the picture quality with 1080i input looks great. PC display was not what I hoped for because it is little blurry for details but if you watch movies from PC, it looks great. It might not be a good idea if you expect LCD quality out of DLP.
Strengths: Amazing and best picture quality. Greate features like 1080p & highest resolution available in the market. It is best & high quality tv among all models that I have seen.

I’ve had my Samsung HLR5678 for several months now. it has an awesome picture. This is an excellent TV with abundance of video connections. I used the TV as my “video” switcher and a separate A/V receiver to switch the various audio sources. The only issue I have seen is the TV is somewhat slow in recognizing the HDMI inputs as being available when connected to an HDMI source.

best dlp tv produced in the world. better quality than the 61" also it is much lighter and better in size, the depth is 2.5 iinches less. i bought this tv for my son he loves it i am going to buy one for myself too it has the best picture quality i've seen in a tv, 2 of my friends ordered the same tv after watching a movie with us in the new samsung dlp 56" 1080p.

56" Samsung TV was easy to set up and connect to get up and running. Awesome picture quality along with easy to understand instructions. 30 watt stereo sound is plenty. On screen remote instructions are easy to follow. Lots of options with component cable hook ups. I would definitely reccomend this unit for purchase!
Strengths: The 56" Samsung 1080i DLP is the brightest, cleanest picture I found. It has great sharpness and contrast. The HD image makes tv viewing an experience beyond belief.

This is a great TV. It is priced better than the Mitsubishi and has a brighter and sharper image. I am so happy with this purchase. I am now spoiled by the HD images and have a hard time watching regular broadcasts. I now cannot wait for all shows to be broadcast in HD. It is hard to believe that the picture will get even better once they broadcast 1080p signals

Samsung HL-R5678W - Excellent quality for price
Strengths: excellent picture, 1080p, HDMI ready, light weight, very affordable price
Weakness: the HD channels are so sharp, I find myself staying up way too late these days...really no complaints, yet @ 5 days of service.
I researched for a few weeks, watching the 50" version of this set...when i saw the extra 6" for only $150 more, it was really a no-brainer. If you are in the market for a 50"+ DLP, Samsung is the answer. you can't seem to touch sets of this size, with 1080p, for less than $800 more than this set cost me.
