VR3 MP3 FM Modulator

Strengths: Size and affordable

Weakness: Frequencies can be weak at times. The label is too small to read so it makes choosing a station difficult.

It is not bad if you want an alternative to radio. Small compact affordable. The display is too small to read when it comes to programming. It can be improved. Not a bad item

VR3 product review

Strengths: Seven FM stations can be selected, USB allow stick and ipod (w/ cable) to be used. Small unit.

Weakness: Doesn't remember position on card when shut down

Unit works well for modulator - still not CD quality - but better than previous units i have used. USB stick allows easy use. Like the fact you can select between 7 FM stations. Good buy for $29.00 through Walmart.

Excellent Value for Money

Strengths: 1. Extremely easy installation 2. Ease of use 3. Doubles up as an Mp3 player from USB and also can be a transmitter from IPod and other CD players. 4. Adequate sound quality 5. Uniq-patent pending

Weakness: None so far

For $25 (Cyberguys.com - $4.5 for USPS priority mail shipping), this product is a life saver for people who don't have a MP3 CD player in their car. Even if you have a MP3 player, how many CDs you want to burn? This device is a good stop gap arrangement till some major breakthru happens in mp3 car audio. I have used it for a week now and I don't hear any noise as other people have complained. I...

Does what it is supposed to

Strengths: No wires or batteries to contend with, can plug in flash drive, 7 stations to choose from, not bad sound quality

Weakness: Stations all at the bottom of the dial, can hear some static, have to turn stereo volume up quite loud

I bought this product so that I could listen to my MP3 player in my car. There does not seem to be a lot of choices for "non ipod" players. I had previously purchased one for about half the cost of this one and ended up taking it back because the sound quality was terrible. This one has 7 station presets to choose from which makes it a bit easier to find a station that works. The sound quality is...

Simple to use, easy to transport MP3 player

Strengths: easy to use

Weakness: device cannot access folders

Super easy to use, can't get any easier. If used with a USB drive, you have grat wire-free way to take a few MP3's on the road. Ease of use outways the weaknesses. MP3's must be on the root of the USB drive, device cannot access folders.Sound quality does not match CD, but is enjoyable.

Roadmaster USA VR3 MP3 FM Modulator

Strengths: Easy to use. Just plugs in. Good sound & reception. No wires. Can plug other electrionic sound devices into it. Works with any capacity USB drive or MP3 bitrate despite the instructions. Small size.

Weakness: Wish it had an LCD display to display song tags & other info. Does not suffle tracks, is sequential only. Can't FF or RW through tracks. Only will play MP3 format music file types.

Some of the manufacturer instructions are slightly bogus. It will indeed play MP3 tracks greater then the suggested 128kb bitrate limit. Larger than 512MB drives also work without problems. Also, you do not need to add the MP3 files to the drives root directory as suggested either, the device will find any MP3 files in a folder or not. The contents of the USB drive do not have to be exclusively...

VRFM7 MP3 FM Modulator

Strengths: Easy to use. 7 frequency to choose from. strong reception.

Weakness: n/a

I have used it for almost a week and haven't experience any problems. The reception is strong and the sound quality is a little bit better than radio quality, is acceptable to me. It can be used in a car since it is power up by the cigarette lighter.

Good deal for the price

Strengths: 7 Channels to choose from - Has very little static - easy to navigate through songs

Weakness: when i turn my car off, i take it out of the lighter just to make sure it doesn't drain my battery. already, the very tip undid itself where the fuse is replaced at, and i can't find the tip.

It's an awesome buy for the price, as long as you don't lose any pieces. I'd make sure the end is tight though so that no pieces are lost like mine. But overall worth it, and if I can't find the missing piece, I will either look for the piece separately or buy a whole new one.

Great broadcaster

Strengths: good signal strenght, easy to use

Weakness: can't read frequency from distance

Bought this years ago and it works great. Bought my daughter a Belkin thinking these were all the same - WRONG. This is far superior. If you want bells and whistles, try something else. If you just want a really good broadcaster and your MP3 player will let you do the rest, I highly recommend this.

Great little transmitter!

Strengths: Lots of available frequencies, volume control, good reception.

Weakness: Restarts from the begining if playing from a USB device every time you plug it in. Also, no FF/REW while inside a track.

Works great and overpowers most of the weak stations at the low end of the dial. Selectable frequencies are all in the 87/88 mhz range. Holding down the next/prev track button changes the volume, which is nice. Very simple to use, and is great if you just need something that will play anything through the radio. Using with an MP3 player works well too, and comes with the needed 2.5" to 3.5"...
