Strengths: Size and ease of use and ability to rechage the battery.
Weakness: Bass can be a little weak.
This a a great space saver for the ability to play you Ipod anywhere. The portability is outstanding, also has pretty good sound for the size of it. And as long as it is plugged in and the Ipod gets a battery charge when in the unit.
Strengths: The speakers have an excellent sound quality for their size and they work extremely well with the iPod. Particularly good for use while on the road.
Weakness: I have found no obvious weaknesses or problems. It would probably be even better however if I had an iPod remote. The alarm clock function is very good.
I have been very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others. I do a fair bit of travelling and the speakers are ideal for bringing your music into a hotel room.
Strengths: Size, great sound, Power consumpion, uses AA Batteries.
Weakness: It has no major weeknesses at all.
The in motion is a clever folding design integrating the amplifier and protecting the speakers when not in use also making it extremely portable. The bass from this is much better than I expected from the 1 inch drivers but if you like music dependent on low bass “thump” without much tonal range or detail as some rap and dance music is this may not be for you and I suggest listening before...
Strengths: Awesome quality from such tiny portable speakers- "Nothing compares 2 U"
Weakness: ? ? ? ? ?- Can't think of any?
STOP- If you have money to burn=$179, then wait and get the NEWEST version that is out/coming out. Imotion3-same as this one BUT with a remote control. How bloody cool is that??? I am going to use mine for a while, wait for the other to come down in price and then give my older non-remote version to a friend or something...
Strengths: small, portable footprint runs on batteries or included wall adapter powers ipod when using wall adapter good sound
This is a great speaker system to suplement the ipod. It can also be used with mp3 players and other devices with a headphone jack. The unit is very portable, comes with battery and 120v power options and sounds great!
Strengths: Perfect design. Great portability and the sound is beautiful and full.
Weakness: Pricey.
A perfect fit for my IPOD, XM Satellite radio and laptop (for music and DVDs). The sound and portability is great. An example of excellent design - pleasing in all respects.
Strengths: This is the perfect match to go with your iPod! The fit is perfect... and for little speakers - these boys rock!
Weakness: I have no complaints about this product.
I don't know about you... but it seems like it is hard to find accessories that are of any quality or work well with Apple's iPod (not to mention the outrageous price they charge for those items). This little gem is an execption to that myth. I cannot believe the great sound that these little speakers produce! Granted, it isn't a Bose sound system... but for little travel speakers, they are by...
Strengths: Compact size, iPod integration, Flexibility, Good looks.
Weakness: Lacks pasive line-out jack.
Overall I was very pleased with this device. The sound is surprising louder then you would expect from the size of the device. Since sound perception is such a subjective issue, I would suggest checking the item out in person and giving it a test drive with your own device and music before buying. My only nit was the device lacked a passive line-out jack that is present on the dock. I wanted this...
Strengths: Price, stylish, small size, surprisingly crisp sound
Weakness: Volume could be louder
My debate was between purchasing this much cheaper system versus the IM3 that was released at $179. Based on reviews and research, the IM3 had more of a muffled sound than this system but had a remote and a more sleek design. Either way it did not justify the $80 price difference. If you are a serious audiophile, you may want to pursue the Bose system at MSRP of $299. If you are interested in...

Altec Lansing's $149 inMotion, a portable speaker unit for the iPod, is arguably the coolest iPod accessory on the market.

Excellent
Strengths: Sound is excellent. The bass is outstanding for such a small unit. I have had professional musicians, engineers and composers listen to this unit and every one of them was blown away.
Weakness: Doesn't hold my mini properly, but I think they fixed this.
I have owned this unit for 18 months. I have used it in business presentations, (I'm an audio producer). I have used while renovating my house. I have dropped it, painted it, and covered it in sawdust. The chrome housing is bent, I broke off the tab that stops it from opening too far, (it now rattles when I shake it), and I have generally abused the poor thing. But it still sounds perfect. I feel...
