Strengths: Light, easy to set-up
Weakness: No digital audio output
The quality of the picture is superb; the design is attractive; the remote is simple to use; I would be completely satisfied if it had digital audio output; the packaging of the TV was not the best, even though it arrived undamaged the second time... the first time the lack of padding around the TV and the broken cardboard made me reject the shipment.
Strengths: Cheap
Weakness: Well, for one, after ten months it had no picture - none - just a blue screen.
I bought this tv in February of 06. Every once in while the screen would "turn blue" in the middle of a program, and I would have no picture. I'd turn the tv off, and on again, and the picture would appear. Then one day in December 06, the screen "turned blue", with no picture (but the standard Westinghouse tinny audio that was a problem from day one). So, since it was still under warranty, I...
Strengths: Excellent price point. Picture is quite good, but definitely needs to be tweaked out of the box.
Weakness: Limited options with PiP functionality. Cable looks like it would on any other TV.
Overall I am definitely very pleased with my purchase, especially considering some of the name brand 32" LCD's were $600-$1,000 more. When you view the picture side by side with some of the pricier models in a store, you can see that the picture quality is just not quite the same. If you are an A/V aficianado, then this tv will not come close to pleasing you. For 90% of buyers, this tv will get...
Strengths: Price. Design of case. HDTV tuner. Multitude of Inputs. Good On Screen Display.
Weakness: "Cool" color palate with no blue adjustment. No ZOOM feature (only Standard and Fill). Speakers tinny.
If you want a good flat screen television that is a great deal for the price, this is the TV for you. I was able to get this TV for $800 after rebate, and I am very happy with my purchase. It definitely is not the BEST picture of al 32 inch LCD TVs, but it still looks better than my 36 inch flat CRT Panasonic TV that it replaced (and for about 2/3 the cost). I love the different inputs...
Strengths: Integrated HD tuner. Input flexibility. HDMI looks amazing. Price.
Weakness: No color temperature adjustment.
I bought it three weeks ago to watch the World Cup in HD and love it. Lots of fast motion and I noticed no ghosting at all. Colors are crisp, vibrant and detailed. 780p and 1080i looks on par if not better than my friends 50' Samsung DLP. HD DVR cable looks amazing with HDMI, upconverting DVD player looks great with DVI and my XBOX looks awesome on component. Gotta love the input flexibility....
Strengths: Price...
Weakness: Picture isn't the greatest when you expand it., but very good in standard form
I was looking for a fairly inexpensive LCD TV. The TV is black and looks pretty sharp. No doubt this will provide me with yrs to come of nice picture. It has PIP, HDTV. Offers many inputs: A/V (Composite), Analog Coaxial(RF), Component Video, VI, HDMI, S-Video, VGA,etc.... Fits great in bedroom Admoire. Turns on immediately with power...no delay So far...very happy with purchase
Strengths: + Inexpensive + Enclosure looks nice in person + HDMI and HDCP + Well placed connectors
Weakness: - Not enough options available in menu - Aspect ratio controls iffy for standard def. and no controls at all for HD content - Somewhat weak speakers
First off the weight on this thing is nice. Carrying it up 3 flights of stairs was a relative breeze and it fit well in my car. [Edit] I edited out a large portion of my review as I can be more informative about the set now. My overall opinion has not changed and I am pleased with the set. In terms of picture quality, standard definition content is still rather appalling on a widescreen TV but no...
Strengths: - Price - HDTV tuner included - QAM capable - HDMI *and* DVI inputs
Weakness: - Ugly - DVI port does not work properly - Computer can be connected only via VGA port
This LCD currently has a $150 rebate from certain retailers until the end of July, making it a fantastic bargain. . Considering how poor most HDTV tuner boxes are and how expensive they can be ($250 on and upwards), and that this Westinghouse includes all the HDTV tuner functionality (OTA antenna or Cable company QAM encapsuation), you are getting one heck of a bargain. . I already own the...
Strengths: 1) Good price ($750 after MIR) 2) Light (about 38 lbs) 3) Good picture through component cables.
Weakness: 1) Sound is somewhat muffled. Ok for most television and movies, but poor for playing music.
WARNING: I DON'T KNOW ALL THAT MUCH ABOUT HDTVs. So perhaps someone more skilled might be able to get more quality out of my TV...still, here was my experience: I purchased this set because I needed a 32 inch LCD as a primary TV for my 1 bdrm apartment. I also wanted a HDTV with tuner. After receiving the set, it set up and ran well with minimal tinkering. The TV OTA reception was disappointing...

With an MSRP of $1299, the LTV-32w3HD is priced lower than many other 32" LCD HDTVs with a built-in tuner and the overall image quality is better than its price suggests. For viewers that do not need a built-in tuner, I would suggest checking out the LTV-32w1 for about $999, as this is a great value if the image quality is anywhere near the LTV-32w3 HD. There are some issues with contrast and...

DO NOT BUY
Strengths: cheap
Weakness: unreliable quality, poor craftsmanship, will need repair soon
Do not purchase a television from Westinghouse. They do provide a TV for a lower price than most, but you get what you pay for. My Westinghouse began having problems after 1 year. The screen would go black and I'd have to power it off and back on again. After 6 months of that, it just stopped showing a picture at all. Not even the parts from Westinghouse installed by their own servicemen could...
