Strengths: Easy set up, outstanding resolution
Weakness: Remote appears flimsy/ rather large
An excellent TV. Got a great price from pricegrabber.com. Beat any retailer by at least $300. Took us less than 20 minutes from out of the box to complete set up - started with watching a widescreen DVD - the resolution is just amazing compared to watching the same DVD on a regular TV.
Strengths: Many
Weakness: See below

Strengths: the feature to auto-adjust the lighting to match the setting is really nice. this is a great tv. clean, beautiful picture
Weakness: i don't see any weaknesses except that there is newer technology coming out.
I bought this tv directly from sharp. I think this is the best tv purchase i've ever made. the picture is clean, the color is great, and even the contrast, 800:1 is better than i thought it would be. if you can get this model on sale, i definitely recommend it, you will not be disappointed.

So far so good!
Strengths: Picture, sound, body, configuration options, stays firmly in place on the stand, stand takes up little space and leaves room for DVD player
Weakness: Colors need to be tweaked for non-HDTV signals
As with any HDTV, you only get a really good picture if you have an HDTV source (HDTV cable/satellite, or DVD). So you have to accept that going in. I need to play around with the color settings (there are a lot of them), because my non-HDTV cable reception leaves a little to be desired. Fortunately they allow you to set them based on the input source (so I can have custom settings for cable...
