Sharp's action-oriented 32" AQUOS LC32GP1U in full HD 1080p resolution is a dream come true for game players. This is the first LCD TV series designed from the ground up to be optimized for today's video games. Vyper Drive game mode eliminates any perceptible lag between the video game and the TV. Side-mounted terminals provide easy connections to games. A custom remote control includes a GAME button that quickly jumps into Vyper Drive and activates the side terminals. Six 1080p-compatible connections (three HDMI, two component, one DVI-I) assure the images from your game console's 1080p outputs will be as clear as possible. Finally, the LC-32GP1U's incredible 6 ms response time and 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio make your amusements seem to come alive.

Strengths: 1920x1080 TRUE High Definition. 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio 5ms Response Time
Weakness: None that I've noticed so far.
I bought this TV to replace my Dell 24 inch monitor. Although the Dell monitor has 1920x1280 resolution, I wanted more landscape for the screen. This Sharp has better contrast ration and response time when compared to the Dell 24 inch monitor. The only thing I'll really miss about the Dell is the media card reader on the side. Too bad the Sharp doesn't have one. I would recommend this to anyone...
Strengths: Well constructed, easy to setup and use, plenty of inputs, and a beautiful picture.
Weakness: None
Been using the monitor for Digital and High Def digital from the cable box thru HDMI and a DVD/VCR player via component video hookup. All very nice. Connected my Quad-core Vista-based PC last night to check out the Sharp as a computer screen. Was not disappointed. Had downloaded a couple of 1080p demo clips from the internet. Looked very nice. Looking forward to true convergence. This Sharp is a...
Remote codes for Sat receiver is weak...Having trouble finding Sat receiver coded for DishNetwork receiver. Picture is great... response time while playing XBox360 is Super !!! Like the sleep lite on front..let's me know I have put the sleep function on.
Strengths: 1080p rocks
Weakness: OPC, sound, and 16:9 aspect ratio
This holiday season I purchased two televisions. I bought the Samsung LN-T3253H and the Sharp LC-32GP1U. I have to say that both televisions are good but for the price that they are worth the Samsung 720p is better and brighter when comparing them at 720p. If you really need a 32” 1080p television I suggest the Sharp LC-32D62U. The LC-32D62U is the same television minus one HDMI input than the...
Strengths: True HD Quality Picture with great options
Weakness: None
This is my first High Definition TV, and I am very impressed. When looking around, I looked at a lot of 720p TVs because of the price. I am glad that I went with 1080p. Sharp has done a great job with this TV. The Aquos has one of the brightest screens that I have seen. I would recommend this TV to anyone.
Strengths: - Tons of HDMI, component, DVI and other assorted connectors. - Beautiful image quality - Easy to set up - No noticeable ghosting, PS3 games look amazing on it.
Weakness: - No HDMI port facing straight back, all come out to the side a bit. I have a rather large gauge cable, so it doesn't stay out of sight easy.
I am in love with this TV. Solid base, very easy to set up. I did have to order an HDMI cable because neither this nor the PS3 came with one. My only complaint is I have one stuck pixel, almost in the center of the screen. Not enough to send back (8+) and to be honest its not even noticeable till the screen is displaying black. I compared this to the Toshiba, and Samsung, and am very happy I...
Strengths: Good picture, contrast and brightness levels, PC connection.
Weakness: Gloss finish, default auto settings, occasional oversaturation.
I purchased this LCD to replace an 18" wall-mounted LCD viewing screen. By comparison, its quality is superior, but the old screen was early technology. I do not use the TV tuner part of the unit, but I have devices hooked up using the composite video, component video, and DVI connectors. All display in fine quality, but the resolution-matching output of the computer is noticeably better than any...
Strengths: Beautiful picture. Easy set up. My first HDTV and I am extremley happy with it. The colors are incredible. 1080p is awesome.
Weakness: A bit pricey.
I was set on going with a Vizio, but when I saw it next the the Sharp, there was no comparison. The picture was brighter, the color more vibrant, the shot was more, well, "sharp." I was impressed enough to make the splurge for the 1080p. Could not have been happier with my choice. At 32", people have said it doesn't matter whether you get a 1080p or 720p. The 1080p is so much worth it and this...
Strengths: a wide range of I/O interface, Sharp color with PS3, good quality - at least no stuck pixel
Weakness: too expensive, unstable contrast/brightness setting when i used it with my PC
I am very happy with this HDTV. The primary purpose of this TV is to be used as my Desktop PC monitor. It is a bit too big though. It is connected to my newly bought PS3 as well. I think it is a awesome combination with the blu-ray DVD movies and this HDTV. Although I can't figure out how the Vyper drive game mode help the games, it does work very well. The 6ms response time makes no ghost trail...
THE GOOD: The Sharp LC-32GP1U HDTV resolves every detail of 1080i and 1080p sources; delivers relatively deep black levels; slick design; excellent connectivity with one DVI and three HDMI inputs. THE BAD: Expensive; benefits of 1080p resolution not apparent at this screen size; inaccurate color temperature. THE BOTTOM LINE: Despite plenty of features and mostly good picture quality, the Sharp...

LOVE THIS TV!!!!
Strengths: Picture is amazing, it is compact versus other 32 in frames so it fits in smaller tv centers.
Weakness: sound is wimpy without the HD hookup
I love this TV. At first we were only ok with the picture. However with the HD hookup, the picture is fabulous. The sound issue also seems to be resolved with the HD sat. hookup. This is a GREAT TV for a lower price than the competetors.
