I think this is the best t.v for the money, I did research and stood in many electronic stores comparing the picture quality and I think that for the money and even though the resolution is only 720 but so is your cable, you can't go wrong, because when the t.v becomes obsolete in a few years your not out that much to go buy another one. I watched blu ray in the store with a expensive LCD right...
Strengths: Great picture out of the box, minimal adjustments needed.
Weakness: Speakers, but that's what surround sound is for.
Bought 1 of these sets in July, 2009 to check out the picture quality using an HD satellite feed, looks great. That one is behind my bar. Bought 2 more in November, 2009 to use for picture-out-of picture mounted towards the top of my ceiling in my basement above an 82inch DLP. Everything looks great, no glare.
Strengths: Great picture, even if it is 720p...don't think 1080p makes that much difference, except for the price.
Weakness: Speakers...but for me, they're good enough.
Bought the same TV at BJ's and saved @ 75 dollars. Also, didn't have to deal with the " oh we don't have that tv in stock " line that this store uses. I think its called the "bait and catch" move.
