After a substantial amount of time researching flat panel LCD TVs for our bedroom I determined the Philips 20PF5120 to be a best buy. I found the price (I paid $473) to be a good deal for the amout of options this item offers. The only TV in this price range at 20" that had a high resolution of 800x600 (most are 480x640, and for much more $$$). The unit offers a DVI input so that you can hook it...
Strengths: The Phillips LCD TV had a heavily weighted stand and multiple input options.
Weakness: The remote was not easy to navigate. The screen blacked out within the first month of use.

The packaging was "impressive" and claimed having enhanced sound options, etc. It was easy to set up and I immediately found the...

Satisfactory LCDTV at a reasonable price, great for...
Strengths: Heavy stand that can be used as wall-mount, fairly good picture, fairly bright, good audio output, space saving
Weakness: remote control navgiation is counter-intuitive; no HDTV support
I bought this for $399 at a brick and mortar store back in September 06. I have to say that for this class range, it looks much better than the non-brand name ones despite similar price tag. However it is inferior to premium brands. The fact that it has no HD support adds to the lists of drawback. However, it is an affordable unit for a small room TV or a dorm TV, where HD usually is not...
