Strengths: Picture, set up, easy to use remote, great price.
Weakness: Too few hdmi inputs, no ambi-light.
Gerat television. Got it on sale at Home Depot. Would recomend it to any one looking at a 42". 50" is much better. You have to learn all the hdtv p's and i's, but you will with any hdtv.

background noise
Strengths: great picture, lots of different inputs, digital tuner picked up over a 100 cable channels
Weakness: lots of extra noise
very annoying buzz sound when ever a picture is on the screen. buzzing changes pitch depending on color of picture. i purchase two TVs they both make the same noise.

Crappy TV
Strengths: Picture quality was decent
Weakness: Power supply has a known problem with capicitors. Volume controls stink, remote that it comes with is horrible. Very heavy tv with only 1 HDMI output.
I would not invest any money into purchasing this TV. Too many problems and customer support sucks. Bought this TV 4 years ago and was told plasmas would last a long time. I had to replace the capicitors in this model twice and then the power supply blew. I will never purchase another tv from philips. Please if you want to invest money into a TV do not purchase this product.
