Hisense Does Not Stand Behind Their Products
Strengths: Cheap - in this case you get what you pay for in product and service
Weakness: Product functions do not work as advertized on 32" HD TV 32" HD Failed after 9 months Customer Service does not provide support the product - They do not honor the warrantee
I bought 2 Hisense TV last Christmas - one as a gift. The audio out function did not work. I believe this is a design flaw. I made 12 phone calls to Hisense customer service. The were very polite - that is the ONLY poistive thing that I have to say about the product or the company. Phone calls did not resolve the problem so I sent 3 e-mails to management who never replied. The second TV picture...

Great Product
Strengths: I just got the set a few days ago, and as advertised the picture is great. I was able to get it working right out of the box. Setup was easy. The menu is easy to understand. The Sound is fine.
Weakness: the remote doesn't work very well. The manual is not helpful at all.
The LCD glass is from top line product of LG. The quality is great. The brand itself is great in China and has been a strong exporter for years. Hisense in fact manufactures TVs for many big name brands. Great product at this price!

SMOOTH TV for the money
Strengths: Picture is very very clear. You won't find anything that compares at a store for less than 1600. Nice appearance. Plenty of inputs for all my gadgets. Good computer moniter. Good response time
Weakness: Remote is kind of big and a little slow to respond. Menu's are a little quirky.
I bought this to use as a computer moniter since me and my wife like to download anime and such. It works great, we just set media player classic to stretch to fit screen and keep the aspect ratio on the TV at 16:9 and everything works and looks awsome. The blacks on this really look black which is unusuall for LCD TV's (still a little grey if it covers most of the screen in black but awesome...
