Strengths: Multi-fuctions! Stylish! Cool Color! high resolution camera (1.2)
Weakness: battery life
I gave it to my niece as a gift. She like it. It is very stylish and easy to use. This edition is much better than the normal blue one which I originally have for a while and the pain starts peel off. All other function of this model is identical to the normal one.
Strengths: Very easy to learn and use. The ability to take my Excel spreadsheets on the go.
Weakness: Battery Life, Paint rubs off easily (the PalmOne logo at top left corner is almost gone).
This is my first handheld unit and overall, I like it. First time buyers should be aware that you need an additional memory card to listen to music, or add a lot of additional programs for the unit. I found that there are a lot of additional programs out there. The camera is OK, doesn't work well in low light conditions. Nice feature to have if you need it. I have transferred other jpg. pictures...
Strengths: Mp3 Player , SD Card (the cheapes in market) sleek design, small size, camera included with video capabilitiy
Weakness: Short Battery lasting, using MP3
It's a beauty, being able to enter contact and get pictures at the same time to remember people it's a great feature, 2 speakers with an acceptable volume, Screen is great, one of the better ones I've seen. I'm very happy with my change from Sony Clie to this new one.
Strengths: 1)Very slick exteior design. Mine Zire 72 is the silver sepecial edition which includes a carry case. 2)Very responsive for various application. 3)UI of the palmOS is nice too.
Weakness: 1) Small memory. 2) Short Battery life 3) Hope they develop a power save mode so that I can get alert always.
Overall I like this small pad. It works swiftly. This camera comes very cute: taking a picture of my wife when she is eating has lots of fun. The real hope is to have a power save mode so that I can get all the meeting alert all the time while it is put into sleep mode. Great!
Strengths: Lightweight, nice screen colour, fast processor
Weakness: none
The palmone zire 72 works well, with ample memory and a bright color display. The Built-in camera, while limited in functionality, is nice to have. Bluetooth works well. Battery life is very reasonable - as long as you don't play MP3s continually and keep Bluetooth off when you don't need it. Overall I like this PDA.
Strengths: High resolution screen; powerful CPU; Build-in blue teeth and 1.2M camera.
Weakness: Relative short battery time (about 6 hours when running low CPU task like reading a booke, about 2 hour when playing game). Blueteeth is hard to setup.
I have used this device for about 2 months and I like it so far. This device exactly fits my every needs except the battery time.
Strengths: 1-megapixel camera. Bluetooth. Plays full-length DivX movies at 320x320.
Weakness: Square, 320x320 screen, not the best for movies. Wi-Fi neither built in nor inexpensively added. PocketPC users will find PalmOS very "unusual."
Although I have been a PocketPC user for many years now, I saw an amazing deal on this Palm Zire 72 Silver, so I decided to try it out (and then maybe give it to a relative or friend). It's thin, light, and easy to handle. The built-in camera is nice, with more pixels than the usual cell-phone camera. Bluetooth is useful for Hotsynching, or for surfing the Internet if you have a Bluetooth cell...
Strengths: Multimedia supported, good quality color screen, bluetooth sync supported
Weakness: Short battery life and hard to set up internet via bluetooth
I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend. I use Palm for couple years, therefore, I am not used to the botton configuration. (no problem for new user) The audio quality is OK (without headset) and the camera quality is acceptable for a small device like this. I had a hard time to set it up to connect to internet via bluetooth via my internet-enable desktop. It's not easy to set up and the manual...
Strengths: Durable (daughter already dropped it once) Screen is vivid and clear Multimedia works suprisingly well (even movies). Paint doesn't peel
Weakness: Battery life (3 hours max). Difficult Bluetooth setup, documentation could be better.
I paid about $325 for the Zire 72 SE and the IR keyboard. They both work well. I still cannot get the Zire to connect to the web via Bluetooth. That is my biggest complaint. My only other complaint would be the battery life. The screen is great, one of the better ones I've seen. I can watch movies and listen to music with the included software. I read alot of complaints about the camera, for it...

Building on the remarkable success of the Zire 71 released a year ago, the Palm Zire 72 is all things that the 71 was and more. For the same original list price as the Zire 71 you get a much better 1.2 megapixel camera, 32 megs of RAM, Bluetooth, Documents To Go and a faster processor. It's the first device to use Intel's new "Bulverde" XScale PXA270 processor running at 312 MHz. Like the palmOne...

Palm Zire 72
Strengths: Convient, camera, voice recoder...
Weakness: battery, no wi-fi.
Got this unit for 300$ ( 150$ after rebate) from officedepot. What I have is a silver version. I have frequently heard people talking about the peeling of paint on the surface. So I got the silver instead. I have owned a Palm M105 for quite a while. Now this is a far more advanced model. It gives almost everything you want for a handheld. You can play MP3 songs in this unit. And the video playing...
