Strengths: Color Screen Display, Speed, Compact Size, Pop-up Stylus, 32K Memory
Weakness: Battery Life
I have upgraded from my Handspring Visor and am very pleased with the features that the Tungsten T2 offers. The price is reasonable given the T2 many features. Overall, I would recommend this Palm to anyone looking for a Palm with a budget of upto $250.
Strengths: Solid metal case, bright, colorful, crisp display, no dead screen pixels, fast, Graffiti 2 is easier than Graffiti once you learn the upgraded strokes (T, X, 4, the new CAPS entry method, etc.)
Weakness: Spring-loaded stylus can sometimes pop out of its well, charging LED indicator stays lit even if full charge is reached.
I was looking at this model vs. the newer Tungsten E. But the T2 has 32MB RAM (vs. 16), metal body (vs. plastic), microphone & voice recorder app (vs. none), sync/recharging cradle (vs. none). The only advantage to the T|E is the memo pad app that now can hold larger memos. (The new Docs2Go 6 is apparently still buggy, so I don't count that as an advantage.) If you have the extra $70, go for the...
Strengths: Easy to use. Very intuitive.
Weakness: Packaged Adobe Acrobat software was out of date. Newer version was easy to install. In fact, everything is easy to install. I wish my PC were this easy.
So far so good. I was thinking about a Tungsten E, but the T2 was available for not much more as an "open box." I am glad I stepped up to the T2. Very quick response time. Very easy to use. My main use will be schedule tracking, contact information, viewing excel and adobe documents, keeping notes from meetings. Great size and capabilites.
Strengths: Fast! The small size. Color screen is sharp. Amount of built in memory.
Weakness: Having difficulty with Graffiti 2. Little difficulty seeing the screen in bright sunlight.
This is my third Palm (Palm 1000 & Palm IIIxe). Fast! My database is displayed in a blink of any eye compared to the Palm IIIxe which took 2 to 3 seconds to load. I like the small size and the way the bottom pulls out (option to power on & off). I like the Document to Go App that comes bundled. It has allowed me to sync Word and Excel documents for review and editing. I have already recommended...
Strengths: good colors, easy to upgrade desktop software from IIIe, blasting processor speed. very small and light.
Weakness: wish it had more memory and WI-FI
a great product for its price. i wish it had wi-fi, but then it is a different price range. not happy that travel charger needs to be purchased separately, they could have made the desktop hotsync/charger with a detachable usb cord, then it could have been used while travelling, but palm wants to make money...
Strengths: Fast, screen, small & SD card
Weakness: No back button
Best PDA I have had (out of 7) - had a IIIC and didn't carry it - too big for a pocket - went back to B&W Clie to get something as small as I could - upgraded back to color with Clie T665C and it was great. Bought Dimage Xt digital camera (small is important) with SD card. Reluctantly went back to Palm to get the SD capability (Clies are very good)but I am VERY happy with the T2. Actually feels...
Strengths: Great screen, compact size, fast processor, and feature rich
Weakness: SHorter battery life than previous models
THis is the fourth Palm I've ovned and the first time I've felt 100% confident that I made the right choice. The T2 is a solid, quality PDA with all of the functionality that I could ask for.
Strengths: Palm OS, great screen, voice recording
Weakness: old version of doc to go, can't use as massive usb storage, stylus
I chose the T2 largely because of Palm OS, I had been tempted by the darkside (pocket PC), but decided to stay faithful to the system that helped me throughout college. For the most part the T2 is beautifully designed, only second to the sexy iPod. The new OS is wonderful and looks amazing on this crisp screen. I had also purchased the essentials kit with the sleeve case (another great product)...
Strengths: Compact form factor, memory, OS features, SD Card slot, Bluetooth
Weakness: Lack of Wi-Fi, No CF Card slot
This is just, overall, a great PDA. It fits easily into your pocket, carries all of the information you might need at any given point. You can expand the memory capabilities by adding in a SD Card, connect to your Bluetooth enabled phone to dial up to the Internet. What more is there to want, Wi-Fi and maybe a CF Card reader. If you need Wi-Fi, this one isn't for you, but if you need a solid...

Palm Tungsten T2 PDA
Strengths: small unit, nice screen, great color, cradle charges PDA, Palm website helpful for upgrade from Handspring
Weakness: case with Essentials Kit not good for left handers
This is a great handheld. I got a display model on closeout for $125, and couldn't believe my luck. It's got great color, a ton of memory, and is simple to sync to the computer. I sync my calendar, contacts and mail to Outlook, but use the Palm software for syncing photos of my baby (which is one of the reasons I upgraded from my old b/w Handspring...kept forgetting photos of the baby at...
