In general, this pocket pc is perfect for general work. I'm a student so this A626 perfectly satisfy all my need. However, I don't know if it was my SD card or the pocket pc, but whenever I turn off the device, and when I turn it on again, the device can't recognize files on SD card. It's kinda annoying that way, but this is awesome pocket pc to start for those who looking for a ppc under $300
Strengths: 1) WINDOWS MOBILE 2) Small 3) Offers both wireless AND bluetooth connectivity 4) Large screen 5) Includes a fully functional MP3 player
Weakness: 1) Wireless use does affect battery life rather quickly.
On the plus side: ) WINDOWS MOBILE Operating system-- so no real threats for viruses, which is an issue when using wireless internet with other operating systems 2) Smaller size and lower weight than competing products 3) Offers both wireless AND bluetooth connectivity 4) Large screen reduces need for scrolling online (though not entirely eliminated) especially when viewing in landscape mode 5)...
Strengths: wireless
Weakness: poor quality and support
I purchased the A626 back in October with an assurance from their tech support people that it would support any bluetooth keyboard. After discovering that there were no bluetooth keyboards availabvle that supported Windows Mobile 6, Asus told me to send back the MyPal to them and they would downgrade the operating system to WM 5. Generally good; some weaknesses
Strengths: Nice display. I like the landscape mode. It has a nice feal to it. Windows Mobile 6 was preloaded on it.
Weakness: Only USB1.1. USB syncing cable is only 3' long. Windows Media player volume is too low - even at 100% it isn't very loud. I have frequent Active Sync problems; it won't recognize the device often.
The SD card will only handle 4GB, so if you want to use this as your primary MP3 player, you can't if you have a lot of music. This ties in with my comment about the volume as well. I plugged it into my car and it wasn't loud enough.
