Strengths: battery life,AM/FM/TV/Weatherband remote,record easier...
Weakness: headphone not good
I feft that the Sony MZ-NF610 Blue Net MD Recorder/Player was the best MD player than other modorn,it had AM/FM/TV/Weatherband remote, easier to record music, and high speed,it was smaller player, the battery life was used longer, the MD`s case was very good to use, althought its headphone was not good, and couldnt support chinese display.I like to use Sony MZ-NF610 player,i love sony product too.
Strengths: Small, incredible battery life, cheap media, high capacity, AM/FM/TV/Weatherband remote, and many more.
Weakness: Not a true MP3 player
I felt deceived when I got my Net MD player for a few reasons. First of all, Sony no longer includes the ability to use your MD player to record live from a microphone. Sure, you can through a line-in jack, but then you need a mixer to get the level right. My old MD player would record live from a microphone, something I did often, but I was limited to 80 minutes per disc. I was hoping to get 5...
Strengths: Relatively small, easy to use, and the mini disks are a hell of a lot cheaper that memory cards….
I have found that this player is pretty small. You can put it in your pocket and use the remote on the cord to run it. The software is fool proof, if you can't figure it out you have serious issues.
Strengths: Size, Burn Speed, Features
Weakness: Flimsy controls, Manual not clear, Software somewhat annoying - but all relatively minor
This is an excellent Minidisc player for anyone who wants to get started or is upgrading to Net MD. First off, here's what's in the box: The package includes the unit itself, a remote control with LCD screen, an AC adaptor, AA rechargeable battery, a pair of cheap Sony headphones, a CD-ROM containing the software used for NetMD transfer, a NetMD USB cable, and the instruction manual. Next, about...
Strengths: small, high capacity, long battery life, has remote, media is inex., doesnt skip unless you throw it off a building, built-in editing and group function, and more.
Weakness: i cant really find anything weak at all. maybe because it has moving parts, but whatever. this is way better than an mp3 player at the same price. i have a problem with the open mg antipiracy, though.
to recap, this thing looks awesome, is small, and is light. the remote is excellent, as you can leave the MD in a case or in a backpack and control play completely from the remote, which has a clip. the battery lasts a whopping 48 hours with a single AA battery, and you can recharge rechargeable AA's in the recorder. the disks are cheap so you can keep libraires, and since the minidisc format is...
Strengths: Battery Life, size, durability, AM/FM/TV Remote
Weakness: drm software, not a very widespread format, cant record from remote
I have had 2 creative labs mp3 players (HD and flash) and was not happy with the stability of either of them. They the flash player was very buggy and the HD player just broke (on button broke off). I decided to go over to MD until mp3 players get better, because MD is an older and more stable format. Pro: This player is compact and sturdy. I dont feel that this player will break too easily (none...
Strengths: Sound quality, convenient size, versatility to record analog or digital, ability to name, mark, edit, and move tracks.
Weakness: No clip on the unit itself; no backlighting to the display window.
I love to ski, bike, or hike listening to music, and it was time to dump the cassette Walkman and go digital! I considered MP3, but the memory capacity for similarly priced units only afforded a few hours of music before having to 'reload'. This would never do, since I don't take my PC on ski trips. So, after much consideration, I settled on the MZ-NF610. It was a great decision. I am not a...
Strengths: Small portable, solid feeling, mini disc are great!
Weakness: None yet
Okay, seriously, ipods are pretty expensive. This is a great alternative, I had an older version that I loved but my husband took it over and there was NO getting it back. I love this little machine. I haven't used it for that long yet so I'm not as familiar w/the radio/tv features. It has great sound and I feel the software is pretty easy and fast once you get used to it. I'm a big fan of Sony...
Strengths: Inexpensive player and media, small size, Good transfer software,
Weakness: Volume not loud enough, appears fragile, limited size media, low quality when using most out of the media
I really enjoy using this walkman-like player. Compared to other mp3 players on the market, this was a bargain. Although advertised that it plays MP3, it's not really a mp3 player. It converts the mp3 file to it's own format. I was concern about reading the software manual it came with. But the software was pretty easy to use without reading the manual. Although I'm probably not taking advantage...

Sony MZ-NF610 Blue Net MD Recorder/Player
Strengths: Sturdy, good quality, plays discs, am, fm, tv channels, weather. Love the romote control. Small, compact and does everything you ask of it.
Weakness: Extremely hard to burn songs on the minidiscs. Radio signal not very strong indoors.
The sound quality of the device is very good and the radio works well. Sony needs to do something to make it easier to burn songs onto a minidisc. The system is convoluted and the manual is almost as thick as the one that came with my car. Once you finally (!) master the art of burning songs, the device is a work of art. The only problem is that you can do so much with it that you will probably...
