Description
Mini DV playback, editing, and dubbing, minus the hookup hassles! The HR-DVS3 dual-well editing deck features a Mini DV VCR and a Super VHS VCR built into a single convenient component. You no longer need to run cables from your Mini DV camcorder to your VCR in order to watch a video ? just pop the tape into the deck and press 'Play'! And with the HR-DVS3, dubbing from Mini DV to standard VHS or Super VHS is easy. Random assemble editing lets you choose up to 8 scenes on your Mini DV tape to record in any order you like; the HR-DVS3 automatically does the rest, taping your programmed sequence of scenes onto the VHS tape. Or use the front-panel i.LINK? jack and an optional cable to dub edited video to tape straight from your computer!

Strengths: Displays Excellent Quality Video
Weakness: Experience "blips" or blocky frames when exporting MiniDv into NLE, Adobe Premire Pro, making miniDV firewire exports usless. Does not output deck on Coax Channel 3 or 4 (video only)
I Experience "blips" or blocky frames of video when exporting MiniDv into NLE, Adobe Premire Pro(individual frames at random portions of the import). This makes exports out of the deck via "firewire" usless. I cleaned the heads, and checked other posts to discover this is a problem with many others and has not been resolved, at least in the two years I owned the deck.
