Description
Our Universal AC Travel Adapter lets you charge your laptop, PDA, and cell phone as you travel around the globe. Designed to work with all different types of outlets, it works in places as diverse as Europe, Asia, the U.S., China, and the UK. Rated to handle both 110- and 220?240-volt standards, our Travel Adapter allows you to connect to international power outlets without a complicated power conversion. Lightweight and easy to pack, it eliminates the hassle of carrying multiple adapters and provides you with a reliable and convenient power solution.
Strengths: Compact
Weakness: None
It's "rated to handle 240/120V" because not all overseas power is 220. Most devices are designed to run on 120 or 240. Look at the back for "input voltage" PC's, laptos, shavers, hairdryers, etc. I can't imagine needing a voltage converter for "travel" items.
Strengths: Small, light and compact. The device is only one part.
Weakness: Not designed to convert voltage.
Simple, elegant and easy to use. It has a sticker that comes across the front of the device that clearly makes you aware it is not designed to convert voltage. The literature that comes with the adapter states it will not convert voltage too.
Strengths: Small, light, easy to carry and use
Weakness: Does not convert voltage
This is a useful adapter while traveling to different contries. If you plan to use laptop or camcorder or recharge batteries and already have the voltage converters for these (most laptops do), then this adapter is useful. I would really call this a socket adapter. Because it does not convert voltage, it is much smaller and lighter than voltage converters.
Strengths: Compact size, versatility of use
Weakness: Converter is still required
A compact, sleek adapter for frequent travelers to other continents. I have used it in different countries without any issues. One has to keep in mind that this is just an adapter for various outlets but you still need a voltage converter to be able to use most of US electronics in many foreign countries.
Strengths: It can be used for 5 different kinds of sockets, for most of Europe and Asia
Weakness: No voltage conversion, little pricy!
This Belkin adapter is a nice looking, compact multi-pin universal adapter which can be used for 5 different kinds of sockets. But it could be misleading as it can't convert voltage even though it says rated to handle both 220/110 V.

Belkin F8E449 Universal AC Travel Adapter
Strengths: light, works for different sockets
Weakness: could be smaller
Bought this adapter for a trip to Europe. It's light and easy to carry. The pins can be folded. But I still feel it could be smaller. The price is ok. Structure is not very solid. The bottom line is: It works!
