Strengths: only paid $189 at circuit city, larger screen 3.7",does a lot more than any other mp3, & a lot cheaper and most of the complaints i've read about this mps were overly stated.
Weakness: larger size, no manual buttons: just touch screen (but it works very well)
overall this mp3 does a lot more than any other mp3 and its +'s far outway it' -'s . especially at circuit city's price of $189. download is a snap, just play with a couple hours and you will get the hang of it not too hard once you use it for a while. and the pics are so much better than any other ipod etc. ( 3.7" screen makes the pics worth looking at without a magnifying glass) if you like the...
Strengths: i like all the features
Weakness: it doesnt have many things you could buy for it,but neither did the ipod when it fist cameout.
i would reccomend this to any one who wants to try something different. it has camera, touch screen and is an mp3 player, and that guy who said it was junk must of not known how to use it. some people say they dont like the light of the camera, but you can change it in settings.
Strengths: The LCD screen is definitely awesome. Its remote is easy to use; the m:robe has a very simple interface, with everything pretty much self-explanatory. There is really no need for a manual.
Weakness: VERY slow response time. After pressing >> on the remote, the average response time would be around 3-5 seconds. No way to make playlist without the computer. NO MOVIES.
the m:robe is definitely all that it brags: the LCD screen, the remote, the 1.2 megapixel camera, yeah. However, that seems to be it. The lyrics you must type out yourself before uploading it onto the m:robe, there is no flash on the camera, the response time is extraordinarily slow, the battery life is shorter than 8 hours, the "jukebox" is next to useless, and in my opinion, that's a lot of...
Strengths: Good build. Nice touch screen.
Weakness: Features, response time.
Pros: - good build quality - nice and large touch screen Cons: - slow response time in MP3 playback (play, fwd, rew, etc., all take a couple of seconds to respond) - photo viewer doesn't even have zoom function - remix? I doubt many people will use it. - use MPV to build database. So you cannot browse and play MP3 and JPEG by folders. Everything has to be synced from PC by their software. - LCD...
The hardware design is great. Multilingual display, backlit remote also display track info. Camera is only acceptable quality. Noisy as usual in dark environment. It can't be a digital camera replacement, but can be good if you just need a quick snapshot of something.... more like a camera phone. The MP3 decoding has a little too much noise. Very noticeable when playing certain kinds of "quiet"...
Strengths: color touch screen
Weakness: Soon after I bought it ,I realized that this is JUNK .There is no flash on the camera, the response time is extraordinarily slow, the battery life is very short .Less than 4 hours .Camera was more of a gimmick because of its anti motion capturing. The ne

Strengths: good looking
Weakness: battery is not good
The m:robe 500i is a really cool mp3 player. It has some pros and some cons though. -pros- great touch screen great music quality great screen quality large screen decent camera looks really cool nice remote simple controls easy uploading software short battery charge -cons- poor battery life unless screen is turned off no flash only photo light a little big takes a while to take a picture...

Awesome combo player
Strengths: *Touch screen is easy to use.
Weakness: * Bulky for an pmp3 player. * No way to charge the player directly. * Too much software to install.
Actually this is a great idea by Olympus but it entered the market too late. Compared to current mp3 players in the market this is kinda bulky and feels like you are holding a stone in your hand after awhile. I never used the camera so i have no idea of its quality. Only if this can play video files, you will not need anything else while on the road.
