Strengths: Great form factor, nice design, very usable, sharp display, good battery life, very fast
Weakness: Non-removable battery, scratches easily, lacks accessories
I have owned a number of different iPods and MP3 players from numerous companies. The iPod nano is definitely the best one yet. Here are my reasons: Great form factor: The iPod nano is very, very slim and small. It fits in the small fifth pocket of a pair of jeans and barely sticks out. It basically disappears. However, it's not so small that you would completely lose it and have trouble finding...
Strengths: SLIM, EASY TO USE, COMPACT, VERSATILE
Weakness: SHORT SHORT SHORT BATTERY LIFE
I love this little device. I have never been able to hold 300 songs in the palm of my hands. I listen to it in the car(I know, I know, that's not safe). The playlist are easy to compile and I love the games on it. I would buy this product again and again!!
Strengths: works, tiny, easy navigation, very light weight
Weakness: EXPENSIVE, Scratches easily
My ipod nano is great. I am a runner so I am constantly on the go and constantly get bored. having music to run to without feeling like you're carrying around a barbel is definatly nice. The ipod works and never skips. I bought a mini and when I would run with it not only did I hearweird clicking noises, the thing weighed way too much.
Strengths: Size, usability
Weakness: Scratches very easily, limited size, price
I've owned iPods through the various generations, and this is the first in some time with a great wow factor. The Nano is small, has the great iPod interface and the screen is up to the job as small as it may be. To top it all off, it looks gorgeous! Near total dock connector accessory compatibility is a huge plus for those who have accumalated such things since the 3rd generation iPod. Perhaps...
Strengths: Flash memory; no piano distortion or bass rolloff; small compact size; BLACK!--no white
Weakness: flex in LCD screen
This is a great improvement over the iPod mini line. First, they kept the proven user interface as well as the tactile buttons. There is no learning curve regardless if you owned an iPod or not. Second, a color screen that can display album art. While not neccessary for listening to music, often times, it comes in handy if you store digital photos on there for quick sharing. Finally, flash memory...
Strengths: Unbelievably small, compact, easy to use like other Apple products, has a beautiful screen with bright vibrant colors... did I mention unbelievably small?
Weakness: Very easily scratched, seems kind of fragile, fingerprints show on the body and can smear
This new version of the iPod is great in its size, content, and bright, vibrant screen. The signature iPod click wheel makes it very easy to use, along with the USB cable that allows it to function like a flash drive. It will wow its users with its sleek new technology. However, the disadvantages of this is the scratching and the smearing of fingerprints. This problem can be solved getting a...
Strengths: Small size, Great sound quality, Photo feature and color, Great for jogging, Flash memory, Headphone port on the bottom
Weakness: Black easily scratches, No cases or aftermarket products yet, No iTrip and remote compatibility, No firewire compatibility (only USB)
I have owned a 3rd generation iPod and an iPod mini, and the nano just blows them away. It combines the best of both worlds and more. It sounds better than both of the previous ones I've owned and is in color with photo feature. It is an eye grabber and people are just so curious to see what it is. It also uses flash memory instead of a hard drive so it means it won't skip and has no moving parts...
Strengths: Size,sound quality,looks cool,flash drive
Weakness: scratches easily.
Many people are completely discouraged from buying a nano simply because of the "scratching issue"! Don't worry! First of all GET A CASE! Of course this will not stop all scratches so go buy some plastic polish! Some nanos however still scratch way too easily. If this is your case Apple will take back your nano and replace it! Now go read some other reviews and IGNORE their comments about...
Strengths: clickwheel, quick charge time, easy to use menu
Weakness: shuffle option, PC compatiblity, separate charger
Apple still needs to work out the kinks w/this for optimal PC compatibility -I actually have to send mine back b/c I got the exclamation folder error (which is basically the ipod nano death screen). However, for the time that it did work, I love the clickwheel feature, the color screen is very crisp. Charge time is quick (2-3hrs) They could work on the shuffle option (it would be nice to have the...

This elegant model has high audio quality and native photo support. But it's pricey and limits you to the iTunes Music Store.

Apple tops itself again with the Ipod Nano. This is the coolest Ipod to date.

A few days ago, Apple presented its smallest MP3 player ever: The iPod Nano, which replaces the iPod Mini. How does this ultra-compact player with a color display perform in practice?
Top
Pros: Incredibly thin color-screened iPods with audio and photo performance virtually identical to full-sized iPods, but at 1/4 the weight. Bleeding edge engineering and industrial design with visual cues from best prior iPods, resulting in a museum piece-class digital music player.

Cons: Lower storage capacity for the dollar than prior iPod minis, fewer color options and lower battery...

Good Stuff.
Strengths: appearance, functionality, portability.
Weakness: sound quality, scratching issues...
Used to own an iRiver IHP-120. That player had the best sound quality that I have ever heard from a portable, granted headphones are a very important factor, even after testing the same headphones (Sony MDR-EX71SL, Sony MDR-V6, and Apple's own earbuds) on multiple players, I still find that iRiver has the best sound output. Other than that, this is a pretty solid product. the surface does scratch...
