The Onkyo HT-S7100 is home theater released in August 2008 for $799. It is essentially the same as the Onkyo HT-S6100 (out now for $699) but adds speakers stands and an iPod dock. Quality system
Strengths: lots of HDMI inputs that other manufacturers don't include. Audessy setup is simple and overall sound quality is superb.
Weakness: Ipod dock does not have a video out, so audio is all you get. System does not have a DVD player, but this is not necessarily a negative if you already have one or you add a Blueray player.
I did a lot of searching for a system that includes HDMI inputs and the Onyko model 6100 and 7100 is the only way to go that I found. Two speaker stands a included on the 7100 which I didn't need but they are nice.
