The system sounds great in my living room, which is small, but it also sounded great in the store which is not so small. I am so far quite impressed. There are a few problems, as I have found, but nothing too bad. Mostly things that I will have to learn to work around. For instance, when you are using the system to amplify your TV signal, and choose to insert a disk, the system switches to DVD mode and turns off your TV signal.. Kind of annoying, but liveable. The lack of composite video outputs is just plain shameful for Sony. Eventually I will be getting an HDTV and I will have to use the S-Video output. I doubt I will see any difference, but it's the principle. At first I was thrown by the lack of a subwoofer (LFE) output, but I have since realized that it is unnecessary. I am out of room...Bottom line-A great system made even better with each dollar you get off the asking price! Highly recommended!

This is the best surround system...

Strengths: Space Saver

Weakness: Can not play audio CD-RW

This is the best surround system that I have heard during my search, (and trust me I searched). What you get for the money is unparalleled by far in comparison to same items in this price range. I am thinking about purchasing one for my bedroom as well.......
