Strengths: Great system, with great sound and very easy setup. Picture quality on DVD is outstanding. Includes music port for IPOD.
Weakness: No AM/FM stereo
Overall very nice system, sound is excellent, components look look great. Setup was easy and fast. Comes with additonal wireless features and IPOD ready. It would have been nice to have an AM/FM received built in.

Panasonic SC-HT440 Home Theater System
Strengths: Good sound quality. Low harmonic distortion at medium to high volume settings. Clearly marked connections and easy to set up. Basically, an excellent value for the money.
Weakness: The unit is approx. 18 inches deep and so was a bit too wide/deep to fit on a standard 15" deep shelf.
Attractive look/finish for unit and speakers. However, the length of speaker wires for the two sourround sound speakers is too short. I would have expected the wire length to be at least 20 feet for each speaker, but nothing that cannot be fixed with an additional spool of 18awg.
