Strengths: Cost vs. Options, well designed remote, on-screen menu and set-up, solid construction.
Weakness: Power is rated at 90 Watts into 8 ohms. This leaves the buyer with the impression that you will have 90 watts per channel into 5.1 channels. In reality you only get about 40 to 50 watts in 5.1.
The price for this receiver has dropped in the past few months. This has made an already affordable AV Receiver an even better buy. The receiver has a well thought out interactive design that is great for those just entering the Home Theater craze. The ability to convert composite video to S-Video and vice-versa is a nice touch.
