Strengths: sound quality, low profile, price
Weakness: not the most durable, no hard case included
this is a repurchase as I "wore out" my first pair. I like these headphones mostly because they sound great, but I also like their low-profile style as they fit well inside my helmet. I've listened to the expensive Shure headphones and many similar "high-fi" models and don't feel they offer better sound quality than these. Don't waste your money.
Strengths: The sound quality is great, and it provides a comfortable fit.
Weakness: The carrying case is not what I expected. It is like a small purse!!
I bought this sony headphone is to replace my broken headphone which is also Sony brand. I missed that one because my cousin bought it for me from Japan. So far this new one does prvoide the similar sound quality after I tried to listen to different kinds of music, and this is the most important, I suppose!! The style of earbud is not bad, either. I am pretty satisfied with the product for the...
Strengths: Delivers excellent bass. It boosts what you have, as well as handles distortion that a regular pair would give. Stays in ear well.
Weakness: NONE!
This is a repurchase. I lost these at the gym. I used them with a Sony minidisc player and they were awesome, could handle whatever bass setting I used w/o distortion. Moved up to an iPod and their headphones simply don't compare. I'm all about the bass.
Strengths: Compact.
Weakness: None.
The same thing as the older model of fontopia earbuds? I own both. I bought this for better sound quality; I was disappointed. The sound quality may be better, but insignificant. Anyways as an audiophile I still feel that these are superior to most small sized earphones.
Strengths: Comfortable fit and sound quality
Weakness: Need to be put in a hard case or they get broken easily (they come with a soft case)
This is my second set of these - they are so awesome! They actually fit in my ears and the sound quality is superb for such inexpensive headphones! I would recommend them strongly to all.
Strengths: price is great for such quality of sound. plugs are soft on the ear
Weakness: The cord is to short and no volume control in line for ease of use.
overall a very good headphones for jogging or workouts. I would recommend this product for anyone who already own sony poortable. The music is clear and the bass is banging
Strengths: Booming booming bass.
Weakness: Booming booming bass.
For the price, these are great headphones. However, don't believe they are a replacement for noise cancelling earbuds or headphones. The rubber plugs do fit in your ears with a little prodding and twisting to get them snug and in place. In short, these have booming booming bass -- in my opinion a little too much perhaps. It seems to have sacrificed some midrange to get this. I did test these vrs....
Strengths: Great sound and high quality of construction.
Weakness: Poor fit in ear. Very uncomfortable after just a few minutes of use.
I bought these as a gift for my son on Christmas. They were purchased for use with an MP3 player that was also a gift. The earphones are too large to fit properly in his ear. When he presses them enough to hold in his ear they are very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this type of earphone but would instead suggest a type that fits around the ear.
Strengths: Low price. Great sound. Trebble and bass can be heard clearly without having to turn up the volume, which translates to longer battery life for portable player.
Weakness: None
I bought this to replace the "over-sized" in-ear headphone that comes with my Creative Muvo TX FM. The sound quality is extreamly great for its such low price. Fits very well in the ears. Highly recommended.

Marketed towards consumers as an alternative to their stock buds or basic headphones, the Sony MDR-ED21LP is a low priced dynamically driven earbud. At $19.99, the Fontopia branded MDR-ED21LP is driven by a 16mm driver, tweaked to be especially bassy. Available at many locations for merely half their MSRP, the MDR-ED21LP are truly a bottom of the barrel option. It is important to know that it is...

Outstanding; and they stay in your ears
Strengths: They stay put in your ears, without having to insert in canals. Excellent sound & base is just right.
Weakness: NONE
I'm impressed: I've tried a dozen different types of earbuds and returned all of them, but not this pair. Having very small ear canals, none of the earbuds on the market will fit me, so I'm stuck with the kind that fit in the outer ear. These not only hold in place while working because they fill up the ear cup, but being tapered fit into the canal entrance for sealing out most peripheral noise....
