Strengths: 1. Has all the surround sound effects without 5 speakers! 2. Wireless, so you have mobility. 3. You can increase the volume to what you like without disturbing others. 4. A mobile surround system.
Weakness: I can't think of any, except that it has now made my sound system with the 5 speakers obsolete and redundant.
It really looks and works cool. It was an exact replacement of a typical home theater system that has all the speakers, in the sense that you get the perfect surround sound effects.
Strengths: Good price, features, Sony name
Weakness: Just a hint of hiss, but probably better than most wireless headphone systems
I've had this unit for about a month now. They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Yes, there are better quality sounding wired headphones at significantly higher prices, but these are no "slouch". I listen to CDs and Radio AOL in the morning when I work at the computer. With my computer, I use the regular wired analog connection tied into a standard 1/8" stereo plug that's...
Strengths: Low cost surround headphone. Supported DTS/Dolby Digital/Dolby Pro LogicII. Chargable batteries. Light Headset. Not bad sound. Covered almost details sound. DSP mode is important to get beeter sound.
Weakness: Some noise at a time of use. Not very good virtual center speaker (Feel like 4.1) but acceptable. Should be RF radio instead of Infrared transmition. Only 2 DSP mode avaliable(Cinema/Music).
This is very very better than any other cheaper surround headphone. It is Sony and it is Cheap! Worthwhile. If you don't have much money and want acceptable surround headphone. This is the one!
Strengths: dolby 5.1 sound ,without disturbing anyone,no wires.they really do sound realastic.reasonably priced,
Weakness: slight hiss.
I bought these dolby headphones, off amazon about a week ago i paid £139.00,this is the cheapest i have seen them on a uk site.ihave recently just moved back to my mums house ,and had to sacrafice my amp and speakers,So i thought the as got to be a soultion out there in a pair of dolby headphones. The first pair i bought were off e bay and were crap, they were made by a company called q ware and...
Strengths: Good Dolby Sound
Weakness: Heavy, Hiss, Uncomfortable headset
I trust sony especially for good sound. This headphone is probably one of the best wireless sets in the market. But I don't want to recommend this Sony MDR-DS3000 if you want a comfortable headphone which has perfect dolby sound without hiss. 1. Heaviness This is so heavy to push your head continuously. I just purchased it. I used it for 30 minutes. And then it gave me headache. 2. Hiss The...
Strengths: light and easy to set up, good sound as Sony brand. just use 2 AAA batteries
Weakness: a little bigger than I thought, feel not comfortable to wear and I think the 11 feet distance to get good sound is kinda short for me
I think sound is good. YOu can trust Sony about this, but I just don't feel very comfortable to wear it. I can not walk though the bathroom or go any futher than aboout 10-12 feet. So the headphone have to be clear to get the signal and you will get good sound quality.

Sony MDR-DS3000 Wireless Headphone
Strengths: Easy to set up, excellent sound, very comfortable to wear.
Weakness: Some bass distortion at very high volumes, and lose signal when anyone walks past the transmitter.
Other reviews talk of some hiss, but my sound system is only about eleven feet from were I sit and at that range I have gotten no hiss or back noise. The sound in 5.1 is excellent and I like how the batteries charge when the phones are not in use. Also the headset turns off when they are not on your head and the system converts to just a charger when not in use.
