Category: Home Stereo Headphones
Class: Headphones and Headsets
Strengths: Great sound, isolating and comfortable
Weakness: I can still hear my voices around me
I have had these for over two years now and I wear them for at least two hours every day and probably more. The black covering for the foam around the ears has started to peel from the seams but the sound is still great. I have it hooked up to a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card. You need a decent sound card in your PC. I wasted months listening to an on-board card. However, the headphones are...
Strengths: great sound, deadens exterior noise
Weakness: NA
I use these headphones for filming weddings and they are the best thing for montering my sound. I have come to depend on the sound and quality they deliver!
Strengths: High-quality sound, durable and field-repairable.
I have been using these headphones for monitoring television field recording since 1986. I just purchased my 6th pair. There is nothing else that competes in accuracy, comfort and ease of user-repair. And if you factor in inflation, they cost less now then when they were first introduced.
Strengths: highly recommended, superior sound, indtustry standard as far as studio headphones are considered, they also block out a lot of exterior noise and could be used as an alternative to noise-cancelling
Weakness: none so far, I expect the product's quality to last for the life of the product
so far so good. these headphones come highly recommended by family members. they are considered an industry standard as far as headphones are concerned. great folding design, lighweight, long, lightweight cord, comes with 1/4' adapter and soft case- that my girl thinks is trashy. oh well! For someone like myself, I was concerned with the headphones fitting my ears, since they tend to stick out...
Strengths: Sony quality, good design, compact, adaptor for 3.5mm/1/4" plug included, full ear cups
Weakness: none noted
The Sony 7506 was purchased after multiple recommendations from professional videographer web sites and articles - and those recommendations were well-founded. I use it with camcorders for field production as a voluteer member-producer for community access television. The Sony blocks out ambient noise and gives a true, high-fidelity rendition of the audio that is coming into the camera. Since...
Strengths: Crystal clear sound, very bendable and flexible for on the fly mixing in clubs, studios, and various parties.
Weakness: The padding around the headphones collecting moisture and seperating.
I first invested in my pair of Sony 7506's with a package of 2 turntables and a mixer all 5 years ago. After almost spending $200 on a high end pair of Sony's at the time, someone at the local music store told me to get a pair of 7506's instead. I've been happy with my investment ever since after using these for many hours of various home use, travel, recording, clubs, raves, and smaller house...
Strengths: sound quality, comfort, comes in 1/8in and 1/4in, makes any type of audio recording sound good, comes with a case
Weakness: drain battery on portable cd players and mp3 hard drivers
these head phones are certainly some of the best headphones that i have ever tried. the cost of the headphones is worth the quality. the soft case is nice to have as storage on trips. These headphones are better that any 150.00 dj head phones, because they are monitor headphones.
Strengths: great sound, makes you look cool
Weakness: a little expensive
I was asking around for a good pair of headphones on some videographer forums and many people recommended the 7506 sony headphones. Well I agree these are some great headphones. After getting by with some cheapo $20 headphones for the last 10 years, these 7506 made me realize I should have just spent a little more money years ago and got a pair of professional sony headphones. Believe me they...
Strengths: Everything
Weakness: None
For the price, you cant find better. Well maybe you can. The Sony MDR-V6.. which is the exact same pair of headphones as the 7506, though with a different model number, and with gold plated ep pin. However, the price is approximately $20 cheaper everywhere.
The Sony MDR7506 is a pair of high-powered, large diaphragm foldable headphones designed for professional studio and live/broadcast applications. It utilizes 40mm driver units for high quality sound up to 1000mW power and 20kHz frequency. In addition, the MDR7506 hosts an extremely rugged design that has been proven to be reliable in tough situations, such as wintry nights and rainy afternoons....

Durable, great sound, over great value
Strengths: :D DOESN'T REST ON YOUR EAR :D! Made with quality parts = durability! Great SQ! Great over value
Weakness: Going on three years just minor tears in the thin covering around the ear cup due to wear and tear
I don't have the greatest sound card, Audigy 2 ZS, so I'm probably holding back the SQ. It is very flexible will fit very large domes! Has a really long coiled cord I can walk any where in my 12x13 room from my desk in a corner. Doesn't completely seal out outside noises if you just don't want anyone to bother you but enough to where I have to either turn the volume off or take it off an ear.
