Additional Specifications
Frequency Band: Ear Coupling: Supraural Detachable, single-sided cable Lightweight aluminum voice coils for excellent dynamics and high efficiency
Strengths: Strong and deep bass, has soundstage, clean mids and highs, smooth and laid-back sounding, easy to drive from portable players. Comfortable. Small headphones hanger included.
Weakness: maybe boring for listeners who demands faster presentation, bass is not very tight and punchy. Not portable at all.
Just got My HD 485. Been listening them for approx 20 hours. I think the HD 485 is very nice for its price. It is quite light for a full sized headphones. Build quality is superb although made from plastic. Remember that these are open headphones, that means a lot of noise will leak from outside vice versa. It's not the type of headphones that will blow your heads away if you have never listened...
Strengths: high-quality, lightweight, comfortable, excellent range of sound, durable, headphone holder, detachable cable
Weakness: somewhat large, outside noise audible
I've had my Sennheiser 485 cans for almost two weeks. The sound quality is full with plenty of range - perfect for audiophiles and gamers alike. The cans are a bit large and fit snug over the ears. The padding is soft and comfortable so you'll get used to them in a day or two. The material of the headphones frame is built with a lightweight and excellent quality plastic. However, due to the...
Strengths: Great bass range, headphone stand, great sound after break-in
Weakness: pads touch my ears sometimes
I read many reviews about these headphones before buying them, so I basically knew what to expect. Out of the box, the headphones are pretty tight on the head and don't have a good midrange sound for punk/rock songs, but electronic/hip-hop/r&b is great immediately! I especially liked how i could hear the bass lines of some songs go lower than i had ever heard them go before. After stretching the...
Strengths: Lightweight & great sound
Weakness: None
Got these babies 3 days ago & really like them, They are fairly light & produce excellent sounds.Couldn't ask for much more for a reasonally priced set of stereo headphones.
Strengths: Durable, very comfortable, lengthy cord, detachable cord, feels like I'm hardly wearing anything when they're on me.
Weakness: Guess my only con would be others could probably hear what I'm listening to if they were to get within... 4 feet of me. But I don't really have any problems with that.
These headphones are built pretty well and are very comfortable. Probably the most comfortable I've owned! Now I'm no audiophile by any means but my music actually sounds a little better on these than my 5.1 system it seems. These are the best headphones I've tested for under $100. My music is so much clearer. Side note~ I just noticed some drums at the beginning of a song that I've never heard...
Strengths: Clear Audio, Nice Stand, Excellent Ear Pads, Comfortable over long time of using
Weakness: I can't complain
Very clear comparing to other models I did have owned, I used mainly for streaming radio over internet, listen to some tracks, and have really good fun playing games. The Sennheiser's are mainly the best headphones in the market.
Strengths: Comfort, good sound quality
Weakness: Nothing serious
I've mainly preferred and worked with closed headphones before (most notably, Sennheiser HD280) but I figured it was time to try a good mid-price range open pair. Realize these are "open", and some sound does leak out, and you can hear outside sounds. I was looking for something that would let me do the latter, and these fit the bill. I am very happy. Sound seems generally balanced in all ranges....
The Sennheiser HD 485 are open, circum-aural stereo headphones that come with a headphone holder that can be fastened to a table or shelf. The cable is not only detachable, it is also single-sided, meaning it only attaches to one side of the headphones. Open circum-aural design means the headphones completely surround the ear, yet let sound escape giving a more open natural sound. High quality...

High Quality, Affordable, and Comfortable Headphones
Strengths: Great Sound Quality, not overly expensive, comfortable over long periods of time, comes with a desk clamp headphone holder.
Weakness: Designed to allow you to hear outside noises, so if you are looking for isolation, these headphones are not for you.
I've always been settling with those free headphones for all these years and had to deal with sore ears and below-average sound, so I decided that I'd look for a set of mid-range headphones that won't break the bank, but also offer solid sound as well as comfort. I believe that these headphones fit the bill exactly. They might not be for the absolute audiophile, but for under $100 I don't think...
