Amazing
Strengths: Deep, smooth bass, capable of clear upper range, high sensitivity. Very good isolation from external noise. The "DJ style" single cable allows better freedom of movement without tangling.
Weakness: A bit tight around the head, leatherette earpads make your ears get sweaty. Only acceptable upper range without equalization. Cannot hear people talking at room level without taking them off.
My first impression was actually rather underwhelming. After recently listening to the Sennheiser 437s I was expecting a bit more out of the box because after all these headphones cost twice as much. They seemed very focused rather than open and it wasn't a good thing. The sound wasn't very natural and didn't sound like it was coming from around me but rather directly from the earphones directly....
