I have 2 pair of these and use them before I use my $300 Bose. They're comfortable, sound quality is good, and very portable. Great listening to my MP player while mowing the lawn. Haven't noticed any squeal in either pair, but maybe I just can't hear that frequency due to too many concerts in my life.

Bad noise generator!
Strengths: Reduces ambient noise.
Weakness: Generates a high frequency, very loud and deafening, squeal.
I would never recommend this product to anyone. After some use I began hearing an intermittent deafening squeal. After paying another $15 I got a second pair of refurbished headphones from the factory only to hear the squeal again after a few uses.
