Strengths: Great clarity, great sound stage, bass is awesome. they feel very comfortable too.
Weakness: Without amplification, the bass could be boomy and overpower other ranges. Heavy sibilance in some recordings. Doesn't feel quite sturdy.
These are great headphones if you can find them on sale. I got them for around $200. The thing about these cans are you will have to let them burn in and drive them with some amplification to sound their best. Again the bass could be fantastic with amp, although could be annoying for some people that are not much of a bass-head. But it's just about different taste. I wish the mid could be more...
THE GOOD: Luxury full-size headphones with deep, powerful bass; well-padded earcups; solid construction. THE BAD: Pricey; leather covers on earcups can cause sweat with extended listening sessions; body doesnt fold down for compact storage THE BOTTOM LINE: For at-home listening, the Denon AH-D2000 headphones provide plenty of oomph, masterful musicality, and a solid, well-constructed design.

Rather, it is much better suited...

Great sound but huge!
Strengths: Great sound, detailed highs, strong bass
Weakness: Huge, bulky, stiff cable
When I ordered the AH-D2000 headphones, I knew they would be a full sized unit. After opening the package, I was shocked by how huge they are! The headphones make you look like you are a radio broadcaster. The headphones fit comfortably with very soft earpads. They are rather large and should fit even the largest head.
