Wow! What a powerful GPS

Strengths: Lots of options when you are on the road with your Tomtom One. Very easy to navigate the menu.

Weakness: None found yet

I spoke to several friend who have other brand GPS and feel that I got the best price on this XL-S. I did a lot of research on GPS and read many reviews. This unit is surely one of the best for the price with options usually found in more expensive units. I really like Tom Tom Home which I downloaded to my desktop. It make updates a snap

Strengths: Image clarity, large screen, easy to use, easy to understand, very accurate

Weakness: None, but only owned for 2 weeks

Seems to be an excellent product that lives up to its advertised abilities. Easy to use and understand. Love the graphics. Was able to program initial destination with ease. Looking forward to downloading updates from Web site. First GPS we have ever used. LOVE IT !!

Awesome GPS Device! The Best on the Market!

Strengths: Hey, it's TomTom, they're the benchmark that other GPS devices must compete against...

Weakness: Does not come with a carying case.

This is my 3rd TomTom device and I'm extremely happy with the purchase. I previously had TomTom software installed on a couple pda's which worked incredibly well. This device has the newer TomTom version 7 installed and it's definitely a nice improvement. The widescreen is a plus and the updated maps seem pretty acurate. So, is the text-to-speech worth the extra moolah? Maybe, maybe not, it's not...

TomTom ONE XL-S

Strengths: Ready to go straight out of the box

Weakness: TTS as a habit of telling you to turn right when map indicates left.

Just got my TomTom last week, have been using it in my work as a truck driver, wonder how i managed with out it. It has only let me down once this week, when it didn't recognized CR 337 in Dunnellon, FL, but apart from that i highly recommend this to anyone.

This is a great unit. I love the Text-to-speech features, and the emergency POIs. I LOVE the TeleAtlas maps--very accurate and the reason I love TomTom. Definitely a dependable unit.

Tom tom xl-s GPS

Strengths: Very easy to use from unpackaging GPS from box. Receives signal almost immediately upon startup. Directions are very clear.

Weakness: Does not have a box to protect it.

I would highly recommend to everyone that is thinking of getting a GPS. I just enter in my address at home and my destination and gives step to step directions.

TomTom One XL-S

Strengths: Nice compact gps system. This GPS has text to speech feature. Also can transmit voice in Chinese.

Weakness: TTS is only available to 2 of the 3 voices. Chinese language is not pre-install. Need to download and update the software.

I got this as a gift for my parents. The main reason I chose this GPS opposed to Garmin is mainly because of the Chinese language. This gps has all the nice features and also inexpensive.
