Strengths: Compact, Easy to set up, Easy to read, good sound quality, Acquires satellites quickly in open areas
Weakness: Acquires satellites slowly in major cities, Difficult menus, Inaccurate, Flimsy mounting, Short battery life
I bought this mainly for a trip to Washington DC/Maryland area and future trips to other states. I thought this device was extremely easy to set up and it acquired the satellite super fast in just about any place. It got me where I needed to go with not too much fuss. Although I think it's worth the price, the menus were somewhat difficult to navigate and the system works much better in rural...
Strengths: Simple, accurate, easy to use, reality view, this is just one awesome piece and i'll tell you why
Weakness: Some screens dont have a back button, but there is a simple work around. i wish it had bluetooth, but for this price, i cant expect that
okay, heres why I think you should pay more weightage to this review. I have used Garmin, Navigon, TomTom, Mio and then Navigon again all on trial, yep as i wanted to get something that works like a true GPS and is value for money. I bought Nagivon to keep it this time. Why do you need a GPS. Take you to the destination in the best route (based on settings ofcourse). While driving it guides you...
Strengths: Routing is very accurate, TTS is loud and clear. Lane Assist and Reality View features are very useful
Weakness: none I have seen yet
Navigon Max 2100 has a 4.3" LCD screen that is much better than the smaller ones I have used before. The maps are very accurate and the Text to Speech directions are very loud and easy to understand. I have found the Lane Assist and Reality View features very useful for a safer drive. I have yet to try the add-on services but I am very optimistic about them. Definitely a great buy!
Strengths: Compact, Easy To Set Up, Simple Controls, Easy Menus, Secure Mounting, Long Battery Life, Easy To Read, Acquires Satellites Quickly, Reliable Performance
Weakness: Cheap mount
I recently started covering the Portland, OR area. If you have ever driven around there, they have some very unusual placements of on and off ramps. You'll be in a residential area going 25mph, and poof, an on ramp. I was using MS Streets and Trips and looking around and down at the maps, wondering if I missed a turn. No more. The Navigon 2100 is awesome. The 3D is like your seeing the actual...
Strengths: Great 3D images. Graphic is excellent and voice to text works great
Weakness: Not always the best route
Bought this GPS with traffic option and 2 year of maps. Expensive but works decent. Graphics are great and text to speech is great to have. The traffic information is not always accurate but does help somewhat in planning your route. Sometimes it informs to make illegal turns like in the middle of the highway. A few times I ended up in a dead end as the future road was not made yet. I guess all...

Strengths: Big screen
Weakness: Live traffic update doesn't work at all. Poor mapping software.
Do not waste your money on this one. You know the saying you get what you pay for? Well that phrase is sooo true on this one. You would think you're getting a great deal until you actually use this unit. Then you would think to yourself it's worth only $80.00 with tax and shipping. This unit froze on me while doing a re-route calculation. Trust me, your're better of getting a Garmin or a Tomtom.
