Additional Specifications
Software Included: City Navigator NT for the continental U.S., Hawaii and Puerto Rico Maps
Graphic Mode: WQVGA
Strengths: BEAUTIFUL 4.3" widescreen display with good brightness and contrast. Easy to use interface. Comes with vehicle mounting equipment.
Weakness: Has trouble attaining satellite reception upon boot up.
I had originally planned on purchasing the Nuvi 200 until I read about the 200w. The widescreen display is much nicer than the normal 3" display I had been accustomed to. Not only are the buttons on the screen larger and easier to select, the map is also bigger which allows you to see side-streets easier without having to zoom out. I have always liked Garmin's product, it has a high level of...
Strengths: Get me where i want to go from point A to B. Very easy and simple to use
Weakness: Not that much features but not needed.
This gps is not the top of the line but it is a simple model to use. Eventhough it does not have a lot of features, it gets me from point A to point B.
Strengths: Neat design; vibrant 4.3" screen; inexpensive
Weakness: Many weaknesses -- can take 5-10 minutes(!)to lock onto satellites; gets easily confused in cities; maps not as complete as other GPS; battery life is very short
I have 3 GPS units (a built-in, a Garmin streetpilot c550 and the nuvi200w). I bought the 200w since I like the c550 so much. However, the nuvi far inferior. I don't care that there is no bluetooth or mp3 player. However, I do care very much that: (1) it takes seemingly forever to lock onto satellites; (2) that the battery life is measured in times of about 2 hours; (3) that long-existing street...
Strengths: Accuracy, Sleek design, POI's, SD card slot, Screen size
Weakness: None
Lovely unit for the price, affordable at $230 range, basic yet does it's job well. TTS is missing but for the price paid it has a lot of features and also the brand value. Would recommend..
Strengths: Widescreen is fantastic, clear and bright. I find it much easier to see and use than it's smaller counterparts. The Nuvi units are much sleeker and less obtrusive than the bulkier streetpilots
Weakness: It doesn't have all the features of the higher priced units, but then I have alternatives for bluetooth and MP3 connectivity so I didn't need them. Including a USB data cable would've been nice.
This unit does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it quite well. I haven't had any problems with map and nav accuracy as I have with TomTom units so I've been very pleased with it. The preloaded POI's have been helpful when we've needed them. I think it's an all around great unit. Better yet my wife, who is not a gadget freak like I am, absolutely loves the thing!
Strengths: Straightforward navigation system. Colorful. Light & portable.
Weakness: European maps do not come preloaded. Many addresses are missing in the local business lists.
This is a nice portable system with a wide screen. There are a variety of voices that can be used and it can easily be connected to the computer with a standard cable for updates to the software. If you are looking for an easy to use, pure navigation system without a lot of additional features, this one is for you.
Strengths: Simple to use, very logical protocol. Like wide screen especially. Have used the smaller ones successfully.
Weakness: Not seen yet
Have used several GPS devices in my car and like very much what they do to add to feeling of security on directions and locations of desired destinations and Points of Interest.
Strengths: Looks nice; Has nice Graphics; Clear Voice and adjustable volume; accurate; nice features for the price (currency converter, pictures view; wide search options...)
Weakness: Sometimes take too much (10 sec) to get a satellite reception (but I'm very impatient). No bluetooth or mp3 player (thus its low price). Other than that, I don't see any other weaknesses yet.
I have not had this product for long but have been tested it and it seems pretty accurate. It might sometimes take too long to get a satellite reception but it is not so bad. It offers great features such as picture viewer with a slide-show function; a world clock; currency and measurement converters; a calculator. I had the chance of trying other GPS before (TomTom and Garmin 350); this one is...
Strengths: Easy to use GPS with features most users require.
Weakness: No SD backup card
If you're looking for a GPS with most of the bells-and-whistles users expectfor under $300, then consider the Garmin nuvi 200W. This is an update of the nuvi 200, but with a larger, widescreen LCD. When you turn it on you only have two choices (1) Where to? or (2) View Map. The first option let you pick sites by address or name or type of business. The second displays the map. The best feature of...

The Garmin Nuvi 200W is an entry-level GPS receiver released in mid-2007. This device is exactly the same as the Nuvi 200, except for the larger 4.3” widescreen display included with the unit. The Nuvi 200W is a low-cost alternative to its predecessor, late 2005’s $1000 Nuvi 350. While not as fully featured as the Nuvi 350, this GPS does include the essentials for the average...

Great Product.....Very Satisfied
Strengths: Very easy to use. Impressed with directions. Screen is amazing!
Weakness: Accuracy of some points.
This is the first GPS that I have ever owned and I am proud of my purchase. I got the Nuvi mainly to help me on trips so I don't always have to look up directions and don't feel lost when I get wherever I'm going. The Nuvi is very easy to use with just a few clicks you can figure out what you're doing and use the Nuvi effeciently. I like how you can click the unit off while you're out of the...
