Strengths: Stellar image through DVI connection, well built machine, swift layer change responce, handles Non Anamorphic DVD's well with the click of a button.
Weakness: Analog outputs are not near as good as DVI, but that's understandable. Remote's not fancy but signal strength is good.
The best way to describe the video quality of the Bravo D1 is smooth and artifact free and as close to HDTV as the DVD format can be. I've done several a/b's with the Bravo versus the best farouja scaling player available. Each time the Bravo will take a dvd that looks poor on the analog machine and make it look stellar, almost like it's adding in missing resolution. Highly Recommended DVD player!
Strengths: Bravo D1 has *DVI* OUTPUT. DVI Makes DVD's look almost Hi Def. Instant customer support by phone or E-Mail. "Custom" 1:1 pixel mapping to match your DVI display device. Very low price.
Weakness: Small buttons on and no backlighting on the remote.

Strengths: Picture to digital displays thru DVI is stunning. Noise and artifact free. Better than any analog output DVD player I have ever seen, and for only $200. Very fast layer change.
Weakness: Not so hot on analog output. I'd go with another unit if you will never use the DVI capability.
I have a projector & 10' screen, so any noise/picture artifacts are very visible. Prior to this, I was using a non-progressive pioneer (F727) which has decent video performance connected by component cables. Switching to the D1 improved the picture by: 1) Removing very nearly all noise. Picture is dead steady, black borders on wide screen material looked like they were masking except that the...
