Great choice if you're looking for a combo player. The DVD record feature is on a par with other recorders. What sets this one apart from the rest is that both the VCR and DVD are upscaled over the HDMI interface. Just one cable to connect this to your receiver! Upscaling is nice -- not at the quality of what an Oppo can do, but nice. Manual is not well written, but usable. The remote is also not...
