Strengths: Outstanding Picture, Really does let you network two or more boxes, very easy to program, second unit+ now is half price, progressive scan out, digital out, easy hookup
Weakness: Cannot watch and record, need to use TV only to watch second show. Lifetime subscription is tied to unit - cannot move to another unit later.
The technology blew me away and was happy that we networked our house. Bought two units and they work as one unit. We can watch two shows and record two shows and control everything from either TV or the Internet. Cannot watch and record at same time and need to use TV standalone to watch second show. The component video out and digital optic audio is great. Live TV is buffered and this is great...
Strengths: Ability to record by finding the show in the channel guide and pressing the record button. 30-second commercial skip is great and quality on the high quality setting is decent.

Strengths: Easy to record, you can pause live tv!
Weakness: You can't record 2 programs at the same time.

Strengths: • Ease of use • Great picture quality • Ehternet networking actually works. • Internal cooling fan (active cooling) • Incredibly convenient
Weakness: • Tivo has a better remote. • Can't customize menu backgrounds, which can make show descriptions difficult to read. • IR blasters a bit cumbersome to use with satellite box.
I bought my Replay over Tivo b/c it seemed like Tivo wanted to nickle and dime me for everything. For example, when I bought my unit, Tivo would only work for networking if you spent an extra $99 on a networking kit (not something they highlighted in their advertising when they claimed their units were networkable). Replay networking functioned right out of the box with no extra charge or "kit"...
