Strengths: Well built, rubbery outer shell, very compact, nice touch screen, bluetooth, voice dialing, good voice quality, relatively fast processor, good battery life.
Weakness: No Wifi, no 3G, no EDGE, UI needs further refining, PC interface software buggy, very little software to download, flip is rather difficult to open.
All in all the A1200 (Ming) is a fine product and works well. The Linux OS also works well but the UI needs improvement. For example: you can set tasks in due date order - but the list doesn't show the due date... one has to click on a task to see its due date. Things like this can be easily corrected in a firmware upgrade and one can only hope that such update is in the offing. This holds true...
Strengths: Good Phone, small, good looks
Weakness: Motorola Phone Tools-Sync. with Outlook impossible Slow handwritting recognition
I bought the phone in search of a smaller alternative to the Palm Treo, being very important for me to be able to sync the phone with Outlook. I invested many hours, got help thru email from the designers of Motorola Phone Tools, Avanquest. It was impossible to make it work consistently or even to get the same live update version every time I uninstalled and re installed the MPh.Tools software. I...
Strengths: the look
Weakness: nothing i have seen
one of the best phones i have used so far... Wow!! i love the look of it and its got a great interface....Its a good PDA phone and the best thing for me is that it works on Mobile Linux!! wow!!
Strengths: Nice shape. Good looking. Like the touch screen. Simple to use. (no manual needed for me.)
Weakness: Cool phone needs more features. The Volume is too low. i cant hear a thing sometime. (better use bluetooth)
Phone is small not that Small but when close its smaller than the blackberry pearl. and its a little thicker than Blackberry pearl. It would be great is the firmware gets update or software automatic.
Strengths: SMALL TOUCH SCREEN
Weakness: THE HANDWRITING RECOGNITION
WHEN I BUY THIS PHONE OVER INTERNET I SEE THE PICTURES I THINK WHY NOT BUT WHEN I RECIVE THE DESIGN THIS PHONE IS GREAT THE TOUCH SCREEN BEAUTIFUL AND TOOLS IS THE SAME FEATURES FROM THE ANOTHER PHONES BUT IS GREAT THE HANDWRITING IS VERY HARD TO USED BECAUSE DON'T RECOGNIZE SOME LETTERS THE SIGNAL I LIVE IN A BASEMENT I BUY MAYBE 20 PHONES NONE WITH THE SIGNAL TO HIGH LIKE THIS MOTOROLA I HAVE...
Strengths: The phone description and features
Weakness: never seen anything like it before ....
This phone is one of the best phones I've seen so far.I love its outstanding features and it color touch display beats all I've ever seen ooooooh this is a great phone to have !!!!!
Strengths: Reception Call quality Screen quality Build quality Bluetooth stereo
Weakness: Flip can be tough to open Software not easy to upgrade like windows mobile Not the easiest phone for people not tech savy
After my first Moto I swore of Motorola forever. When I had problems with my carrier replacing my phone I needed a new one in a pinch. I first bought a Nokia since they had always served me well. The Nokia 3230 was terrible. I next found this one and purchased it without too much thought. It is a great phone, but not the best PDA. If you keep that in mind, you wont be let down. It does the phone...
Strengths: Quick shipping. Looks good.
Weakness: Should have given memory card along with this cell
Appearance wise its too good. All my friends liked this phone. The flip and touchpad screen of it makes it look smart. Shipping was also perfect and on time.

Beautiful case, but very bad software with many bugs...
Strengths: Beautiful, touchscreen, small
Weakness: Lots of bugs, user interface is bad, user interface is not flexible, screen scratches easily, flip design make it difficult to open with one hand, 2 pop-up windows appear whenever I make a call.
Don't be lead by the beautiful appearance of this phone and by the fact that it is using Linux-based operating system. The phone software and interface may make you sorry that you bought it (well, I'm not sorry about buying it because this is the only option for small touch-screen phone with flip). Well, were to start ? Take a look at the forums of Motorolafans.com, and see how many issues are...
