Very happy with it

Strengths: Automatically pairs with the phone when you start the car. Sound quality. Ease of use.

Weakness: Size of the speaker.

I installed this myself in my wife's Honda Accord. The instructions were easy to follow. I looked on-line to find out how to take apart the Honda's center console. It's very easy and logical. There were less than ten screws. The unit's main box was installed behind the stereo. The microphone was installed on the steering column. The keypad was installed on the center console between the shifter...

Had problem with 2 of them so far

Strengths: Good sound quality. Automatic pairing when in the car.

Weakness: Had problems with 2 of them so far. See comments.

I had one professionally installed by Verizon Wireless contractors in my wife's Honda Civic and one in my Ford Five Hundred. Her's often does not work on inbound calls. She can her the caller, caller cannot hear her. They have been troubleshooting it, but no solution after 3 weeks. We even upgraded her RAZR firmware, but still a problem. Had mine installed for 1 week and now my microphone does...

Fantastic Hands-Free Unless Convertible

Strengths: Ability to pair to more than one phone. Crystal clear connection.

Weakness: I own a convertible, and this item is not able to work with the top down even though the mic is placed outside of the wind.

Overall, this is a factastic item I would recommend to anyone with a Bluetooth enabled phone. The ear pieces are fine, but this makes hands-free in the car a guarantee. Unlike the ear pieces, there are no issues with forgetting, breaking, losing, not charging, etc.

Motorola HF850 Hands Free Car Kit

Strengths: Truly handsfree operation. Voice activated and easy to use.

Weakness: No cradle to charge Motorola Razr phone continuously and no way to hotwire an external antenna.

Since this is a Bluetooth enabled phone, Motorola didn't incorporate a cradle to charge the phone like in the older car kits. Of course, it can be charged with a desktop charger or by a car charger. You can hook up an external antenna by an adapter cable. I feel Motorola needs to come up with a true handfree kit and that way you don't have to have all those cables to take care of the charging and...

Motorola HF 850

Strengths: Small.

Weakness: Compared to other car kits that I have had this one requires a separate charger for the telephone. Also you have to became proficient on the use of the signals and functions.

I do not know of any better car kit generally available today. The sound is fine on handsfree operation and it is relatively unobstusive. After trying one for my car I bought a second one for my wife.

Get this!

Strengths: I love this bluetoothe kit, i can now drive without having to take my phone out of my pocket.

Weakness: cannot pair 2 phones at once. My wife travel together in the car, but the handsfree must choose just one phone to pair with, even though it can pair with each of our phones individually.

I think this bluetooth kit works very well and was very easy to install. I have nothing to compare it to, but I doubt it can get better than this. When I am on a call, people don't even know that they are on speakerphone, it's that clear.

Bluetooth wonder

Strengths: easy to hook up, just a little thing on my dash, but big sound in the car, person on other end of line won't even know your window is open.

Weakness: should come with a small metalic sticker showing instructions

Unless you use it ALWAYS you could forget the procedures - push this for one second then push that for two seconds unless your pushing the other for three seconds - yada, yada, yada - Either way Thank you Motorola for another wonder tool

Motorola HF850 Hands Free Car Kit

Strengths: good audio quality

Weakness: voice activated dialing

voice activated dialing doesn't work the same as the standard headset style. It just beeps then disconnects. It has acutally worked once in a while but is practially useless. It also takes a long time to connect on an incomming call. I've had people hang up and redial the number b/c it take so long to connect. I've tried this unit with various different bluetooth phones including a motorola and...

Not totally happy with it

Strengths: Easy to use, Easy to pair with the phone

Weakness: Speaker not loud enough when driving at high speeds Microphone not suitable for more than one person

I had a hard time getting somebody to install this in my car. Went around to various car stereo stores but nobody had seen this before. Finally went to cartoys and they installed it for $60. When Im driving on the highway it's really really hard to hear what the other person is saying. And I've got a fairly new car (a 2005 model) so it's not like my car makes a lot of noise. Its just the sound of...

Motorola HF850 Hands Free Car Kit

Strengths: Simple design

Weakness: No display

I bought the Moto HF850 to replace a wired Moto car kit. I found it easy to install - especially since I could re-use some connections. Overall, it works very well. It has great range; staying connected to the phone even when the phone is 30+ feet away. It is especially cool to have the phone answer even while it's stashed away. I did not use the mic or speaker (car has built-in mic and radio is...
