Strengths: Very easy to setup and use. Comes with everything you need, but highly recommend buying digital coax or optical cable for best sound quality. Can remove up to 5 disks while 1 is still playing.
Weakness: Technically no weaknesses, but component is big.
Great unit with awesome sound quality and lots of features. Will play either audio CDs or MP3s on CD-R/RW. Can also play both 8 cm and 12 cm size discs. Heard Onkyo is dropping CD only players from their product line next year, so look for prices to drop soon.
Strengths: Generally, easy to set up and use. Relatively quiet operation compared to my Harmon Kardon changer.Very good sound and dynamic range for the price.
Weakness: Labeling on remote could be larger. An easier way to set up repeating a selection on a disc, vrs. repeating an entire disc, vrs. repeating all discs, would be nice.
This Onkyo is a relatively inexpensive CD changer with good build quality. The sound is very good, but not quite as musical as my six year old Harmon Kardon changer, that just broke. A piano sounded more harmonically correct on the Harmon Kardon. However, the Onkyo is quieter than the Harmon Kardon, has better dynamic range, and cost considerably less than the Harmon Kardon.
