A great deck for a great price.

Strengths: Navigation is spot on. Ipod control is much improved over D3. Sirius is accessible from Navi mode.

Weakness: A little bit of a wait for boot up, but is to be expected with any high end computer.

I have to say that a majority of the reviews on here are simple fixes with the deck. The one review says the screen takes multiple presses for it to register. Ok. So read the manual and it tells you that you can change the screen sensitivity. Next the complaint is that the Bluetooth is weak. Fair enough. Maybe mount the mic closer to where your face is at. I have had this deck is a 09 Vw Jetta...

Great Unit!

Strengths: Bluetooth feature is easy to use. Enhances sound system

Weakness: Not sure if it is compatible with my Sansa e260 mp3 player.

So far this unit works great. I bought it to replace the 6-disk in-dash changer in my 03 Expedition. Bluetooth linked up with my Blackberry smoothly and also allows you to transfer your contacts with the touch of a button. Excellent upgrade for a later model vehicle that needs a double din deck. Take the time to go back and calibrate the touch-screen if you have any issues with it not responding...

This unit is a large pile of smelly poop

Strengths: It has none

Weakness: Slow boot, horrible bluetooth, locks up, bad navigation

This is not worth the money. It takes almost 2 minutes to boot and become usable. The phone connection is terrible. You cannot understand each other. Even after the large firmware update from Pioneer (Which took 45 minutes to install) it still had massive issues.

What are Pioneer Thinking

Strengths: None

Weakness: S-L-O-W, poor design and interface, lock up

This product should never have been released. It’s slow as molasses on both startup and reading SD card MP3’s--inserted a 2GB card and 20 minutes later it was still trying to read the contents. The technical manual is only available on-line and very convoluted. Even trying to upgrade their firmware caused a complete lockup. The touch screen often requires multiple presses to work. I got my...

Pioneer AVIC-F700BT

The Pioneer AVIC-F700BT is a CD player, a GPS device, a blue tooth hands-free connection for your phone, and a voice recognition playback system for your iPod. In short, the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT is similar the Pioneer AVIC-F500BT except for the fact that it has a CD player, is two hundred and fifty dollars more expensive and is a system that sits in your dash instead of being portable. It is a...
