Strengths: Super fast calculator... much quicker than the already quick TI-83 Plus. This calculator has nice color choices now as well.
Weakness: I have to say... I have yet to find any real weaknesses... That's a good thing though!
I was thrilled that these come in colors now. Unfortunately, at my daughter's High School, these calculators "go missing" all the time. The head of the math department told us specifically to buy the pink one if we could get it at a good price (and yes... price grabber has the best prices!) She said that the boys were less likely to "borrow" and not return the pink ones..... And I really think...
Strengths: same as, or not more than the regular silver edition
Weakness: few people will buy it because of the funky color
Don't know why they make this pink and the other blue skinned ones. this is an expensive calculator. No one would buy one because they like the color. If they do, TI will have one less sale of the regular silver one. RD often does this stupid tweeking on a successful product, only to make it worse. This pink ones are being cleared out at $41. The fact tells much about it.
Strengths: Great color! Same features as regular Silver Ed.
Weakness: Isn't graphing multiple lines.
I searched in every store for this pink calculator!! Only to find no one had them. Very thrilled to find them online at such a great price. Unfortunately, now after using it we find that we are having problems with it! It is only graphing one line when it should be graphing multiple lines. We already have the silver edition and definately know how to use the product but did consult with four math...
Strengths: Beautiful color. it's quick. I got a deal, so it's a great investment and very good tool.
Weakness: a little bit complicated
It's a great product from Texas Instruments. It will help me a lot in scientific calculations. But at regular price $130, it's kind of expensive. TI website also offers some excellent study stacks.
Strengths: Has similar format and layout as my old TI 30X IIS so learning where everything is on the TI-84 Plus will be much quicker. Great functionality for the sciences!
Weakness: May have a lot of functions I will never need or use.
This calculator will help me a lot with my college math and sciences classess. The layout and location of the keys is very similar to my old TI scientific calculator so that was a great relief when I saw that. That makes this high performance graphing calculator much less intimidating to use.
Strengths: Great new look, same great calculator I used back in college, USB Computer Cable Included!
Weakness: None that I have come across to this point
The good people at Texas Intruments have been making these calculators for as long as I can remember. They have always been the calculator of choice from all of my math teachers. I would never go with a generic as math is always tough enough for me the way it is. The new colors that have come out are much better then the dark gray or black that I was familar with. Little bit of improvement compares to ti-83
Strengths: Lots of features, very customizable, faster speed than ti-83
Weakness: May be a color LCD, heavier than I imagine, could have longer battery life
Pros: - runs noticeably faster than ti-83 with side by side comparison. - very customizable calculator. - Lots of extra little features compare to ti-83 but they are seldom used if ever. Cons: - heavy and shorter battery life than my ti-83 - Bigger since it is almost half side of ASUS eee since that machine can surf the web! - Still monochrome LCD!
